What in the Asian f*ck did I just watch? Some lady pulled a semi truck worth of camping gear and furniture out of a Hyundai, set up an inflatable tent in someone's front yard, made steak, ate a 20' long fruit roll up, then gnocchi and ate it with Jack cock?
But you couldn't stop watching it either. I personally draw the line with plastic flowers on an end table and throw pillows on the inflatable sofa to dress up my tent.

Got the same setup here. The tent with annex feels like a crazy amount of room for our family of 4 plus a dog. I sleep in the annex on a cot, dog in a dog bed. Wife and kids sleep up top. Plenty of room. And the fact my trailer side box is accessible from inside the annex is crazy useful.

Well... not quite sane setup.... we dont have the duck...

This was just added to my camping setup. Hard to see, but it's a mini projector and screen. The whole setup:
- Starlink Mini
- Amazon Fire Stick
- Cheapo Amazon mini projector
- 80" screen
- Goal Zero Yeti 500X to power it all.

A 2 hour movie burned about 30% battery life on the Goal Zero, and about 4-5GB of data. Kids freaking loved it. The pic I took is blurry, but the projector was super clear and sharp in person.

2021 Opus Lite. Jeep tows it amazing and tracks right where the Jeep is so I don't worry about bouncing it off trees or rocks. Nice to have a kitchen, bed off the ground, and room for the dogs without carrying all that weight on top/inside the Jeep.

I have a rubicon x with the sot. I also have a rat. but. I don't use it any more. I have been sleeping in the jeep on a deep sleep mattress. In an ideal world ( aka My dream world). I would like. to have something like an Ursa Minor top. that had some sort of slide away opening so I could have it on and open the Sot. I realize that it would have to have sliding panels or something I can. almost picture it buuuuuttttt, not quite. So what are your set ups and why ?
My camping setup would depend upon the situation!

When out backpacking a section of the PCT near Crater Lake, Oregon, home was a Dan Durston X-Mid 1P:

Saving motel/hotel bills while crossing the country without camping gear, home is a plywood platform in the Wrangler:

For longer term camping accessible in 2WD, just replace the orange 4X4 with Wrangler, or just tow behind the Sprinter:

Also have a yet to be used C6 tent that can be used as a RTT on the Wrangler, set up on the ground, or I'm also working on a 5'x10' HF flatbed trailer for the Jeep which would provide a 2 foot off the ground tent platform with small porch!

I'm in the process of building this same platform. Care to share your plans / dimension?

I have no blueprints or dimensions on paper, as I just winged it as I put it together. The basic idea is that the sleeping platform is in two sections that both cover the back "cargo" area when not in use, and all of the seats can still be used. You'll find more photos at this post from last year, and there are a couple of dimensions included. It is constructed from 2 by 2's, which are actually about 1.5" x 1.5" and the plywood is about 5/8's to 3/4 thick. When set up, the platform is at the same height as the side walls would be if you were to remove your top, so when stowed for travel it acts to hide everything in the cargo area.
Looks for post #27 here:
