BULLSH*TThey are considered "no-fault" claims which do not count towards premiums as individual incidents. I used to work in the repair industry and still know several insurance agents. and adjustors.
I got new insurance with a company and they pulled up my history. They started rattling off all of these claims and I said whoa wait what the heck are you talking about. Then we started dissecting them and I realized they were all window chip claims. I said those aren't claims they were just window chips. And she agreed and said they are no faults but they still show up and at the end of the day they go into the claims count. Well guess what... I had to pull a real claim for damage and they said yep, we are dropping you... you have too many claims for a window of time. Yep... those claims factor in somewhere along the line. If they didn't they wouldn't keep track of them.
