Looks like they put a big ole hard plastic debrainer on sport bar to kill tall people again (like the JK)

All the videos show runts and chicks driving it too, I still have hope its a bit higher and a tad offset,

Alot of the plastic looks uses or has a tweeter in it maybe, I guess making something from wood could be possible, sucks to have to fight frills

I'm 6'2" and 205. Should I be worried or am I "petite" enough?

TFLCar will have some notes on the big & tall. Roman and Andre are 6'1" and 6'2". They keep saying they'll be driving the Wrangler soon.

The Steering wheel now telescopes, but I think that helps shorter people out more.

I know what he's saying. In my JK, I keep the driver's seat at the lowest setting and I have to recline it just right. In an accident, my head could easily hit the sport bar/sound bar. If I sit up straight enough, my head bumps into it. I'd like about 1" more headroom, if it were available. I'm 6'5" tall, btw. If you are 6'2" tall, you'd have room to spare in my JK.

Is the headroom the same in the JL?

I'm 6'4, and have no issues with headroom. I do however wish there was just a little more legroom. My leg always rests on the door, but I'm a little concerned with the taller center console my right leg will be resting on it all the time as well.

I’m confused. I am 6’ 5” 220 lbs and I have lots of headroom.
Same here. I wonder if OP meant waist size.... lol... that may be a problem since JL interior specs are slightly smaller than the JK. Only the rear leg room is increased.

And yeah the knee on door thing. I had to stick a pad to keep knee from hitting the door locks and not rub my knee raw when wearing shorts. Common issue and dont see it going away with JL.

Yeah, I always lock/unlock the doors with my knee. The extended armrest on the JL door has a me a little concerned as well. If that is anywhere close to where my knee sits on a JK I'm afraid I won't fit at all.

Being a bigger guy in both dimensions, I only have an issue with my knee hitting the locks like Jeeptimus, and hopefully those extended armrests help wih that. And I use a gel seat in summer (black seats are too hot without coverage).

As for accidents, I didn’t have an issue (other than glass) with my t-bone collision half-roll, and that was a perfect candidate for excessive head movement hitting bits.

I do occasionally bump my head when off-roading, but I could fix that by securing my seat belt, however the bumps isually come from an unexpected bounce, not when I can predict a jostling ride, when I secure down.
I also use Corbeau harness pads to soften the restraint.

I think some of it has to do with riding position of course, but I have taller friends who I offroad with and they seem OK, although they have crew cuts and I have long lustrous hair. ;)

This is my issue too. I have very long legs, so for me, if i put the seat of my GF's JK in a position where my legs are comfortable (all the way back and up high) as to not have my legs endangering steering safety, my head hits the sound bar. It sucks. I have to drive like this but with my torso too upright, which i don't like, to avoid back of head hitting sound bar. Hope the JLU fixes that.

I also wish the footwell around the pedals was significantly wider. tapering that footwell in around pedals never made sense to me.

Also, one other form factor, related to us big guys who have to "man spread" to be comfortable, is the 4WD lever. my right calve always slightly pushes it inwards towards the center, and that doesn't seem safe.
