@KevinM60 had a blast pulling off John Bull and Holcomb in one day. Holcomb East to West at night was something else!

Yes it was good to get them both knocked out in one day. We didn’t start Holcomb until 4pm and were really pressing the get done before dark but as we were finishing up the middle rock garden it was dark and the auto-headlights had turned on. We didn’t have any choice but to continue in the dark but we have good nightlights and it was actually pretty fun making the best of the situation.
We finished Holcomb at 9:30 and didn’t get back to our campsite until midnight. Today we slept in until 10am which is super unusual for me and took our time getting going and didn’t get on the road until 5pm.
It was a really good trip and I learned a lot about how to use the extended features of my Gladiator for creeping over big rocks to reduce damage although that took some time and did some damage to get there.
I bent a rim that popped the bead and I had to put on the spare, I discovered this morning that I bent the front bumper a little on one end, and one of my fenders got separate a little bit just needs to be popped back in correctly.
I also got a lot of practice with my recovery gear.

I noticed my rear bumper was bent up. Lost the front passenger fender flare at Holcomb but John Bull loosened it first. Skids did their job so everything was well protected. Jeep does look likes it got a zoot suit with all those pinstripes.

Any video???
Those two in one day must’ve been exhausting
I was surprised how much energy I had through the day and didn’t really start feeling it until we got back to camp and settling in. I was falling asleep in my chair but had to finish my beer. 😁😁
I think just the adrenaline of the moment kept me going through the whole thing.

A pic of My bent rim that took this morning before loading it up on the undercarriage. I don’t know that I can fix it but I’m not getting my hopes up.

how the heck did that happen??

you can fix that. Wack at it with a dead blow hammer. The best way is to heat it up a bit with a torch, or a powerful heat gun. That will make the metal more maleable.

ive fixed worse than that, though they were forged wheels. Should still work.

I plan on giving that a try. I did hit it a little bit with a small sledge this morning and it was moving but I want to get a little more precise with it. I figure I'll either fix it or make it worse so I have nothing to lose.

Dont use a sledge hammer. Use a dead blow hammer.
If you must use a sledge, put a 2x4 over it
That's part of what I meant by more precise. I'm thinking a piece of wood rounded to the shape I'm looking for. I also have a dead blow in my home arsenal.
I probably won't get to it until Thursday at the earliest.
