2020 JLU Sport S

I started with a bone stock 2020 JLU Sport S.
I took this Jeep out in stock until the trails would tell me no. Then I would upgrade a part here and there as things broke or necessity would demand it to allow me to move forward on a trail.

First thing I installed was a roof rack before anything else but that was due to family camping and needing the space.

First lift was a hand me down XR lift from a forum member.

About 15 1/4” clearance at the side step

After 20” of clearance.

Along with the lift I installed 35” Milestar Patagonia M/T on RockTrix with 4.5” backspacing and -12 offset for just the right amount of poke.

Wore out the XR lift so I upgraded to the 3.5” Rancho lift with adjustable shocks.

I also upgraded the steering with RPM steering and fox stabilizer.

Nice looking jeep, and better looking after your mods.

I took basically the same approach. I told myself I was going wheel it and learn with it stock until I could change a few things or they wore out or broke. Started with a stock 2021 willys sport. Did a $274 Daystar 2" spacer lift.

New wheels and 285x70x17 tires. (Now Cooper STT pros)

Then shocks were leaking at 45K, so new Fox 2.0 shocks. Then at 50K upper control arm bushings and sway bar links were toast, and front track bar was on its way out.

So, Clayton 1.5" ride right lift (which gave me 2.5") Fox 2.0 ATS stabilizer and JKS sway bar quicker disconnects.

Next is most likely tie rod, drag link and ball joints.

I have really enjoyed wheeling and doing mods as needed, or when I could. One day I will get it close to just how I want it.

Next install was the auxbeam switches so I could control the pod lights, under carriage camera, and power on/off the winch.

used an Amazon phone mount using the grab handle bolt to mount the auxbeam.

here is where I mounted the camera which gives me a great view of the front differential, front driver side tire and the inside passenger side front tire. Everything a boy needs as a personal spotter.

here are the Amazon pod lights that have not let me down for those times I night trail or arrive at night to a camp site.

When I purchased a winch I needed to get a new bumper. Went with the the Rugged Ridge Aluminum bumper with winch plate and the Badlands winch.

relocated the control for the winch under the hood and the wired connector in the cab with me for easier access.

After a run I lost my front passenger fender so it was time to upgrade since it was cheaper to upgrade than to replace with oem. It also gave me more clearance.

with the new Fenders I also relocated the turn signals using Oracle Rock Lights
