Aside from liability and greed, it appears there's no technical issue with an owner performing the installation rather than the manufacture's recommendation that it should be installed by a Jeep tech at a Jeep dealer service.

Fair to say?

Haven’t got a hold of the rear ones yet. They weren’t available from the seller on eBay
How do you like the handles so far? Do they seem sturdy at the mounting point? Thinking of ordering a pair. New Jeep should be here soon.

Thanks for the pics! I’m thinking about getting the new design for my 22. Do you think the small trim screws hold up good enough so far?

Of course they want you to have them install everything. But no it’s literally two small screws. It takes 30 seconds to put them in

Well yeah, that's a given but early on they seemed to be spinning it that there were possible issues DYI'ing it due to the proximity to the airbag mechanism. Nice to learn that was all bullshit.
