If you aren’t using an OBD2 monitor of some sort with your diesel, you are doing yourself a disservice in my opinion. Watching EGT’s to ensure proper turbo cooldown before shutting the engine off, regens, being able to monitor coolant and oil temps without having to have Off-road pages up, etc are all extremely useful.
I previously had my Scangauge 2 mounted to the transmission tunnel just in front of the selector. While it was nicely tucked away and unobtrusive, it was hard to monitor it when going up steep grades or towing since I would have to look down. I wanted something eye level or close to it, similar to the off-road pages being up. I found this mount on Etsy and used it in conjunction with a Ram 1” ball, 67Designs mini arm with 1” end to 22mm end which attached to the 67D rail.
