What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Added mag lite and poison spider roll cage holster. Anyone know if alkaline batteries will survive the summer heat in the jeep or am I gonna be looking at a mess in the mag lite in a few weeks?

Also added some cup holder accent mats!

I had a like setup in my old JK with a maglite that lasted 3 years with no issue before I swapped out for fresh batteries as preventative maintenance.

Left my top off by mistake last night and it conveniently rained. Only front part was wet and it started that funky smell but luckily after leaven the top down and windows down in the sun it appears to dry very fast and the smell is just about gone. Now I just need to find that micro sd that fell between the seat and console.

This was the largest amount of panel work and wiring I have ever done. Luckily the wiring was pretty much plug and play. The rear panel was pretty tough and I could not figure out how to remove the cup holders so getting the wiring fished through was a bit of a pain. I might pull the back off again to adjust the USB port as I noticed you can see the cutout a bit.

Today I finally found a brush that removes the Husky fur from my cargo area carpet. Id really like to meet he person who designed this carpet, or even the person who approved it for use because it traps fur like no other car I’ve ever had. It’s called the “Shed Sweeper” from Kurgo. I bought it at pet food express. It works good but still takes elbow grease to get all the fur out.

I have the sticker also. EVERYBODY, that sees thinks it is terrific.

Be sure to buy the BLACK and not the Matte. I bought two cause eventually I will end up replacing the windshield due to rock damage, etc.. They ship to you quickly after ordering.

I made an executive decision that by leaving that one out it was still pretty secure. No bolt there. Also make sure you have the sides right, the bolt holes are different on each side.

The holes on mine near the arm didn't not match up either I opened it up with a drill, also on the passenger side a weld was too large for lower bracket to be fitted to the lid.
I ended up grinding down the weld and pre fitting the entire unit out of the console. After that it went in easily.

Thanks! I was about to send mine back, but figured I'd give it one more try knowing that others are having similar fit issues. I was thinking of drilling out the one set of holes that don't quite match to be able to get the last one in, so maybe I'll give that a try. For the moment it was installed minus two bolts, it still seemed super secure and would need significant tools and effort for someone to break into it!

Got it installed! Used a 3/16" bit to open up the bolt holes a little bit, and with a little force I was able to get all the bolts installed. Thanks!!

Installed the tailgate reinforcement, just in case, and replaced the front turn signals, DRL's, reverse lights, and brake lights/rear turns with diode dynamics LED lights. Just waiting on their headlights to be available.

Next I need to figure out what to do about the dripping from the rear wiper fluid nozzle.

Drill a small breather hole in the windshield fluid cap. That takes care of the issue.
