You could consider locking latches for the side hood hold downs. Nothing to cut, looks factory, the lock can be uninstalled any time you want to return to factory. Rugged Ridge has a nice set of about $100.

Have one of those, havent installed it for over a year. partly because the list of mods to complete continues to grow and my time to do it shrinks every day it seems. partly because I enabled the horn alarm with the tazer if the hood is opened while the doors are locked. seems enough of a deterrent to keep the less determined from being stupid.

I installed the Bolt lock on my 24 Willys and did not use the 24 template Bolt has online since it appeared much larger than necessary to access the lock. I also painted the rivets black, so they don't show. Here's what mine looks like:

Here are close up pics of the '24 factory insert. As others have stated, its the ENTIRE grill insert and not just the middle part like the '18-'23 part. The hole is much bigger than necessary.

I am curious why would you want to put a hood lock on your jeep
I would much better have them pop my hood steel my battery and move on rather than taking a 3ft pry bar and destroying my hood
They only need accesses to your can buss inside the jeep to steel it

If you live in a place where thieves are prying open hoods with 3 ft pry bars to steal your battery, you've got bigger problems LOL

I have a camera there so I went with the Rugged Ridge latches. I already had too many keys to deal with so one more is still too many

@ACAPECE someone makes an electric latch that works with the key fob. A little more involved install and more expensive I'm sure, but the ultimate solution. Also enable your hood alarm if you haven't already. (Via Tazer or JSCAN.)

A JSCAN is on my very long list of things to buy thanks to this forum. The Bolt was a quick and easy solution, at this rate it would have been cheaper to buy the electric latch.

Pretty much what should have done had I taken the time to actually think about what I was doing. ?? Nothing like spending unnecessary $$ to make sure you don’t make the same mistakes.
