I will preface this that because of my business I have owned 5 JLU's some with etorque, and some without. I want to purchase a new to me (Used) JLU but I DON'T WANT ETORQUe. I had a bad experince in the past, and I find its best just to deal with the stupid AUX battery instead.

For example, do all 2020 3.6 have etorque, or did it start in 2021? I am having trouble finding the definite answer.

I thought it was 18-19- 3.6 = No etorque
20-24 3.6= Yes etorque,.

Is that true? Would love some help!

Here is a window sticker for a 2020 with 3.6 but it doesn't mention etorque?

If it doesn’t say etorque on the engine description, it doesn’t have it. It will have an aux battery and an alternator instead. You know you can just look at the window sticker of any Jeep you’re interested in and it will say if it has etorque or not.

Of course. But not all used jeeps have window stickers.

Dude, you’ve had 5 JL’s and still have no clue how to tell which engine you have. You can look up a window sticker here, the Jeep site or just ask the dealer: https://windowstickerlookup.com/
I’m well aware of what engines my jeeps have. I’m mostly curious if there was a rule of thumb IE this year has etorque. Sorry that made you upset. Hope your day gets better

I know for 2021 all of the automatic 3.6L had Etorque. I have it and don't mind it, but it is heavier and has a bunch of extra crap under the hood to support it. My 3.6L engine block cracked at 25k miles and I have heard this is becoming a bit of a concern so not sure I would even get the 3.6L again.

I don't believe 23 or 2024 has e torq.
Love my 2021 with it, would not want a Jeep w/o.

So the window sticker in your post is not etorque. An example of a window sticker with etorque is below.

Good decision to skip the E torque especially when buying used. That eight year 80,000 miles is coming up fast on a lot of those units. And I would not want to own one out of warranty. Lots of reality checks coming up. 18 and 19, 3.6 definitely does not have it. I believe the change was made for 21 or in the middle of 2020 model year. Special ordered my 2019 I was scared about the E torque because the 2.0 had it And they were talking about bringing it over to the 3.6. 23/24 does not have it. But I believe 25 will have it again.
