My 2020 Rubi came with KO2's - in the MD area we see a variety of weather and I was happy enough to replace them with another set when the OEM ones were done at 58K miles. Ive never repurchased OEM tires on other vehicles.

On my 2009 Sahara I got the Toyo Open Country A/T III. I originally started with the I, next set was the II and third set the III. Ive gotten close to 60K on the Toyo's as well.

The Toyo A/T II were complete garbage - however they seemed to revert back to the I design or improved it, the III I have now perform pretty well.

FWIW - I'm quite happy with my General Grabber ATx. Admittedly I'm in suburban NY, so conditions are a bit different.

Falken Wildpeak have treated me better than stock by far. and they are quiet on the highway.
Plus one on the Falken Wildpeak tires. I have a set on my truck and I am very pleased with them. Will put a set on my Jeep when then current tires wear out.

A long time ago, I too swore by the KO/KO2...but that was back when it didn't have much competition. When the Duratrac became widely available I gave it a try and it absolutely blew away the KO2, on the traction front. Even today, the Duratrac is the best wet/snow traction tire i've ever tried. Problem is that it kinda sucks in the dry - traction is great on/off road...but it's frikin loud and rides like crap. The Ridge Grappler is clearly a dry-focused tire...I have the same experience as you with it...it is surprisingly bad in the wet and downright scary in the snow.

One tire I have not tried but have received great reviews from real people that I know and trust (as opposed to random personalities on an internet forum that live in completely different climates) is the Toyo Open Country AT3. I had planned to purchase those for my Silverado until I saw how cheap I could get the new GY Territory MT. So I decided to take a leap and try the Territory (Tread Pattern A), and so far i'm really impressed. It's got the traction of the Duratrac in all conditions but it's quieter, better riding, and MUCH lighter. So my recommendations are one of those two.

Purchased a JLU wrangler Sport S for my wife earlier this year. Quickly replaced the stock wheels and tires with Black Rhino wheels and Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 285-70R 17s. Love the look and ride of the tires but they are absolutely useless on the wer asphalt. I have read so many different reviews, comments and threads regarding tires. Currently looking at the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs. Looking for honest feedback to make a good decision. Dont want to continue to waste money on tires that aren't reliable. Any input would be appreciated

Shortly after picking up my 2021 2 dr from the dealer three years ago, I replaced the stock tires with 33" General Grabber APTs. They're quiet on road, grip well on wet pavement and worked well on BOH trails in Moab. Not a knobby aggressive look, but man, do they fill the bill for an all purpose AT.

I’ve owned various NItto (Ridge Grappler and Terra Grappler), BFG (K02 and KM3), Procomp, and Goodyear AT tires over the year. I’ve spent at least 20+ hours reading and watching reviews of lots of different brands. At the end of the day, I one tire kept coming up as the crème of the crop…BFG K02s.

I had a set of BFG Trail Terrains on my JL, they worked very well in all conditions, didn't try them out in rocky stuff but sandy conditions, trails, wet and dry long highway drives etc they worked wonderfully.

You were just looking for a reason to post a pic of that sexy safari look your JL is rocking.
I just needed to remind myself of the summer today - pretty gray and cold(-ish) now... so can't work on the Jeep until the ice thaws!

I have MT Baja Boss AT 37’s. They’re great in all conditions. I live in Western Oregon and have driven them in light rain, heavy rain, snow, ice, dry roads, and off road. They replaced my BFG KO2’s which were also good in most conditions but I’m liking the Baja Boss AT’s better.

Another vote for Falken AT3W's. Not sure how the AT4 will do, but we've had really good results with the AT3's, on two different vehicles. All weather, all roads tires. Great on snowy roads to sticky on rocky trails. Good all rounder, no issues on wet pavement. No compromises that we've found, just air down for the rougher terrain for best traction and ride.

Very happy with my Falken Wildpeaks in rain, snow, mild off road and highway driving.

I just replaced my KO2‘s with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss and i am extremely impressed so far. Great on and off road and much better on wet pavement than the BFG. I found that KO2’s are terrible for hydroplaning and a 12.5 inch wide tire just amplifies that.

Another vote for the Falken Wildpeak AT3’s. I just swapped out the stock wheels and tires on my 2020 Sahara with 285/70r17 Falkens and so far they are quiet and excellent traction. I have KO2’s on my 2022 Ram 1500 and while they ride nice, they get slippery when wet. They work great in snow, but rain is another story. I had Falkens on my old 2018 Ram and they were fantastic, which is why I went with the Falkens again on the Jeep instead of the KO2’s

Falken wildpeaks hands down. They are releasing the at4s this month which have even longer tread wear warranty.

I love these so much i bought a set for my tj and ram. I've had ko2s, they were done at 25k miles. My falkens have 28k and at least half tread left.

Great wet traction, snow rated. Best tires I've owned in 20 years of 4x4 vehicles.
