I had a set of BFG Trail Terrains on my JL, they worked very well in all conditions, didn't try them out in rocky stuff but sandy conditions, trails, wet and dry long highway drives etc they worked wonderfully.
If you're going duning only then a compressor of some sorts, either onboard or portable, some traction boards, recovery strap, maybe a steel bumper with closed recovery points and some extra lights with a wide beam pattern for those nights you stay late in the dunes, the headlights don't shine...
Depends what you look for in a tire, decent on road handling combined with good off-road characteristics or vice versa, good in muddy or snowy environments etc. š
I believe you have to pull the fender, but this also got me thinking that the placement of your battery might have to do with the placement of the steering wheel, because i found a picture of a 2.2 lhd and the battery wasnāt in the same place as yours. So i think that all rhd models have the...
Yes exactly, same engine as the 4xe but without the electric bobs and bits. I was going for a 2.2 diesel but it got snatched from the dealer before i could purchase it so i ended up getting a 2.0 that was available, i believe itās the most common engine in the states. Where i live the option was...
I assume you have a diesel 2.2 since the battery is on the opposite side of my export 2.0, which has the exact same layout in the engine bay as the 2.0 model that is for sale in the states.
Iāve been in a similar situation to you and i donāt have an lsd, but the bld took me right out. Within a second i could feel the spinning wheel locking up and traction going to the other one. Could it be that jeeps with lsds have less agressive bld?
I have the same problem as you with the heat, i opted to install the arb pressure control to my arb twin, combined with a 4 tire inflation system you just set your pressure in the app, hook up to the tires and the pressure control will handle the rest and stop at the pressure selected. Works...
An easy way to know if this will work or not is to wet the area a bit, if you can see it while itās wet it needs repainting, if it disappears it can be buffed out.
I do the tap and release method a couple of times and it works pretty good, soaks the windscreen while Iām at a stop light to loosen up the gunk a bit.
Any reason why you run it in 2h? Even though the 4xe has the same transfer case as you do it also reduces engine power when in 2h, something i suspect your 392 doesnāt. And if i remember correctly it wasnāt because of driveability, it was some components that canāt handle the torque output.
Nice looking ride but too bad about the bad dealer experience. Hopefully youāll get it fixed asap. If youāre looking for a place to buy some extras from i can recommend 4x4works in the UK, amazing service and free 1 day delivery, decent prices compared to others as well.
Do they serve a purpose? Doesnāt seem like thereās any light coming from them, all of the low and high beam seem to come from the center led projector. Circled in yellow.
I believe itās the little rod and potentiometer you find behind the drivers side rear wheel, i assume you need to extend the rod by the amount of actual distance you have gained from the lift, not the actual amount that it says on the box, also measuring with an empty vehicle.
But worth noting...
