Very good. Took me 3 to 4 days and been in kz for a couple now...can't complainAwesome! Seems like it cruised through inspection to make it to KZ in 52 minutes. I hope that's a good thing...

If you are a member of Costco or a credit union try their auto buying program. I went with my DOD credit union and the dealer basically configured and printed out the breakdown including the employee, friends and family, and invoice pricing. Im not a hagler and ended up paying $200 over invoice. There's about $1800 of dealer holdback (on the sheet) that gives you negotiating room....but it's a Wrangler and sells fast so probably a pain to tap into.Went to the dealership today to test drive a manual Sport--which then wasn't on the lot.
But I got lucky. As I was pulling in, I gave myself whiplash when I saw a 2 door JL, fresh off the truck, getting dealer prepped! I've now finally seen and looked inside a 2 door. Beautiful.... order time for me very soon.
Speaking of which, this dealership essentially refused to talk price negotiating unless I was willing to put a deposit down tonight. Is that typical? I have never bought a new car before and am not good at this, but my general take from the forum has been that you should at least score invoice or lower pricing, with a reasonable Doc Fee. I would love help from other JLWF members on this. The rest of my experience at the dealership was wonderful... until they didn't want to talk price without me being willing to sign tonight. I'll probably be making a thread on this, as I need to learn fast.
For reference, I'm planning on a 6MT 2door Sport or Sport S with the anti-spin axle--one of the cheapest builds. How much off MSRP can I expect on such a budget build?
Also, should I avoid dealer financing at all costs?
This thread has been great. You guys are great. Help me finally get starting on my own JL journey!
A local credit union gave me 1.9% and others have mentioned AAA does the same. Also, should I avoid dealer financing at all costs?

From my experience buying and ordering vehicles, this is not typical. I did my dealing before my decision was made. Only then I ordered based on that activity. $500 deposit that is refundable if I change my mind. Dealer is not at risk. They will be able to move the Jeep regardless.Went to the dealership today to test drive a manual Sport--which then wasn't on the lot.

I also have a similar build to what you want. 6speed, A/C, antispin. I ended up about 2k off MSRP. This is as good as I could get here in Southern Colorado. Not as muck wiggle room on bare bones Jeep. Oddly enough my Jeep shows in transit with the original MSRP without the midway price increase. Window sticker shows the price increase. Weird.Went to the dealership today to test drive a manual Sport--which then wasn't on the lot.

Well yeah the rest of you suckers better make preparations. I will be on my spaceship with a Jeep in the cargo bay.Really! Wow! So that astroid is really going to hit the Earth. I better make sure all of my Netflix discs are returned before then.
Thanks for the heads-up.
In transit on Jeep or your dealer's website does it show listed without the midway price increase?I also have a similar build to what you want. 6speed, A/C, antispin. I ended up about 2k off MSRP. Looks like it will ship. You are not in a storage yard as I was for 26 days KZYuup
I would contact your dealer back to see how fast they are receiving vehicles from Jeep. A lot of dealers, Jeep Chat etc. are complaining about rail car shortages and truck shortages.Dealer called Jeep and said I was KZ status. What is the approximate time frame for delivery to Dealer?
You have a dealer like 5 hours away, Vegas, doing a bit under 5 percent under invoice. Just email your local dealers, or go in if you like and be straightforward and simple. Tell them you were looking to order today, dealer in Vegas is doing around 5 under invoice, can you match this? If no thank them and move on. Or if they say they can come close, have them show you. No need to talk financing as that is not part of the equation, nor trade if you have one.Went to the dealership today to test drive a manual Sport--which then wasn't on the lot.
