Top Off Must Haves

Radio screen saver since I live in a dusty clime (1st Mod).
Waterproof seat covers since I run open April-Halloween here in NW Iowa (3rd Mod).
Waterproof, lockable storage in the rear (4th Mod).
Bad-weather gear for snow/rain since I am in NW Iowa.
Complete carpet removal (2nd Mod).

How long have you had those seat covers and do you like them? I would get sweaty on my waterproof YJ.

100%. When I drop the top I don't want anything in the Jeep. I keep it empty most of the time anyway. Really a couple hats in the glovebox is all you need.

Not as nice as the Slipstream, but we run the Bestop Duster when the rear windows come out. Keeps stuff covered and in the cargo area. Plus, gets you mostly rain proof in safari mode. Easy to throw on and folds up pretty small to stick in the back.

A beanie, a blanket, and the seatbelt tie down straps. Maybe some dental floss to keep that smile rock’n.

How do you like the rain tarp? Do you leave it that way overnight? Ever noticed it tampered with in the morning?

I want to keep my doors and top off all the time, but can't park in the garage. I'm in a decent neighborhood, I'm thinking if I use a tarp like this and maybe put a bright motion light on the jeep as it's parked in the driveway, I should be ok.

My old man had a Jeep, so here's what I have to say.

One of my personal faves is a good pair of sunglasses, 'cause let's be real - the sun can be brutal on those sunny days. And if you're like me and love to blast some tunes, a Bluetooth speaker is a must-have. Nothing beats blasting your favorite playlist while cruising down the highway with the top down.

Now, back to the original question about the back seatbelts. I totally feel you on that one - it can be super annoying when those things are flapping around in the wind. Velcro straps are a genius solution. Personally, I also like to have a roll bar grab handle to hold onto when things get bumpy off-road.

And let's not forget about the practical stuff, like a good sunblock to avoid those gnarly burns, and a water bottle to stay hydrated on those hot days.

my doors/top comes off at Easter and not go back on until the end of summer (or first frost). The tarp is is great but i live in a subdivision with neighborhood watch program so no tampering.

Zip ties will likely start eating/degrading the edges of your belts after thousands of miles.

I’ve nearly lost two hats in my ‘22 JLU. Never had issues in my ‘95 nor any other time in my life when it’s been windy, but it’s consistently happening in this thing…

The aerodynamics of these JLs have changed a lot compared to my TJ. The cross-wind when driving topless/doorless beats the hell out of me in the JL. In the TJ I might get hit when there was a gust coming from the side, but in the JL it seems to be non-stop
