JT Gladiator on cover of new Quadratec catalog

Any of you guys see the new Quadratec catalog? Mine came today. It’s got a killer 2dr JT on the cover. I’d buy that bad boy TODAY if it was available to us mere mortals. Jeep, please check this out and give us an option!

They call it a "JTe" - it started out as a hybrid JL and Greg Henderson shortened the body to a 2dr pickup cab and put a JT bed on the back. It's still a hybrid. It was a very complicated project done in a very short time period, much more complicated than my oversimplification in the previous sentence might make it sound. Greg is a very talented fabricator/vehicle customizer, he also did the YJL project for Quadratec a couple of years ago - he modified a 2dr JL to pay homage to the the YJ that Quadratec founder Ted Wentz owned when he started Quadratec.

I was lucky enough to play a small part in both projects - Quadratec asked me to design a few interior accessories for the YJL project and Greg asked me to design some accessories for the interior of the JTe.

Apparently, Qtec uses it in their green earth trail cleanup initiative to haul trash out of off-roading areas. And while I applaud that effort, I can’t help but think the color was inspired by:
