Sometimes I wonder if I should have gotten the OB instead of my Granite. Looks good
those were the two (and orange) I was between for both orders. Really if they would have accidentally painted it Granite I would have been just as happy. Have you seen granite and ocean in person? They are both amazing imo.

I have seen a Granite at the dealer but haven't seen the Blue yet. I have a white one that parks at my work garage

Does it then mute the music or do you turn up the base to account for the sound reading blanket?
It doesn't interfere the slightest. I even tried muffling it with pillows, no effect whatsoever. If you listen near the sub you really dot hear any bass coming from it. It seems the body of the Jeep is really the speaker for the sub woofer.

I called the 877 number and spoke to Merrick (sp). After giving him my Case Number he done some digging and started out by saying that he would contact my Brand Mentor and have him get in touch with me. He said that it has been escalated a couple of times already and that I should have been given more information by now. As we talked more, he said that it looked like my JL was scheduled to be built by the end of June / beginning of July with a July 16th worse case date. I am not happy with this date but at least there is an end in sight. Hopefully they will be able to get to it before then...and that July 16th is truly their worse case date. With the shipping delays, I won't get my JL until August or September...

After seeing someone on the forum get offered service packages, I asked Merrick if Jeep was planning on doing this for the folks that had to wait and he thought they were going to compensate us for our time.

I also asked him what he thought not getting my JL until September would do to the resale value and he didn't really know. He said they should value them the same as a 2019 but I am not that naive to think it won't get counted as a 2018 and I will already be 1 year down on the resale value the day I take delivery of it. I guess it is a good thing that I don't plan on getting rid of this one anytime soon.

While I will say that I am a little relieved after talking to Merrick...at least now I know a plan (even if it is subject to change...), but I can't say that I am happy with this news. I just really...and truly....hope that the wait is going to be worth it...and that Jeep will take care of patient customers who had to wait 6 months or more to get their JLs.

Oh boy, I’m only day 4. I figure I’ll get her maybe sometime in July?
Cristina, since you are on the other site ;), look at JLUs that have been received that were rail-carred to your location and had similar listed event codes to get an estimated timeline. Mine's eventually heading to Selkirk, NY for example. Given the federal holiday I'm guessing mine will be on the train this Wednesday the earliest and Saturday the latest. Barring anything really weird I expect to have mine at the dealer June 15th-ish. :movember:

Waiting 6 months is RIDICULOUS. Sweet Water was calling Jeep like every other day and emailing too. I think he was the squeakiest wheel and got greased. But, I would be shocked if they would offer something like that across the board. 2018 will be a "limited release" due to the numbers of 2drs. I don't know how well this will help our resale. But, it is ridiculous to order so early on and wait so long. They really should not have taken orders so far in advance. I hope the wait is worth it too. I have definitely lost any sense of excitement or anticipation. I hope it returns before I go pick it up, whenever that is...

Day #17 of waiting on my headliner install...
I'm day 12. I'll bet mine is finished before yours though just because that's how FCA works, lol.

I agree Joe, it is mostly unsetlling news - thanks for sharing what you were told.
Knowing what I know now, I would not have ordered. This is the 1st vehicle I have ever ordered - will not do that again.
This is now a race. Will they deliver before my patience runs out? I already have some great vehicles that really put smiles on my face. What I don't have is the time and energy to wait for FCA to get around to building the Jeep I want. And, at this point given the amount of time it has taken, it had better be 100% Hot Damn Perfect! from the minute I start inspecting it. 126 days has given me Zero Tolerance on errors.

...... This is the 1st vehicle I have ever ordered - will not do that again.
.....
In all fairness, this experience is most definitely not the norm. I have ordered many vehicles over the years and this is really the only one that has been fouled up.
