Interesting extraction. Arrival to the rollover site begins at 2:30.

Excellent recovery. It wasn't easy to get that out of there without further damaging it. Could have wound up totaled with a less skilled crew out there.

I'm surprised that it actually started up after being on its head for so long!

Yeah you can see how much oil it was burning when they started it but later in the video it stopped smoking so much. I wonder how much oil is inside the intake.

Man, that sucks, but the body is in surprisingly good shape for a roll over.

Surprised to see a Corvair wagon modified for recovery work. I had two of the wagons over the years. Did a lot of crazy stuff with them, including offroad when I lived in Colorado. Fun memories.

I enjoy watching their videos. That was a nice recovery.

Most poignant statement during the whole video, “I’m not so sure he should even be driving.”
I think that was after he ran into something else on the way out.

I've watched their channel a lot but I haven't gone back to see the history of the Morvair. They have another one or two of them laying around for parts. It is heavily modified, there isn't much left of the original Corvair.

He ran off a perfectly good road TWICE after they started driving out of there. Methinks "impairment" might be involve...I'd have called law enforcement and had him checked out before he got on the highway and killed somebody.

I think he's just a different kind of guy. He had a teddy bear with him when the crew got there. Look on his backpack at 1:25

Not sure what to think about the driver. Seemed out of it when they first got there. Heck of a recovery though!

If you enjoy youtube car build videos I highly recommend going back and watching him build it out. Matt is an old derby car driver and definitely takes his own approach to building and is entertaining when he does it. He also is a big Corvair guy and has tons of them laying around.
