Same. I can still use the radio for most applications, even if it wasn’t planned. But when I’m heading out and know I will be using the radio, I switch to the better whip and it only takes a few seconds.
Admittedly, I’m not familiar with the SOT. Though your picture is what I would expect. It there roughly 6” in clearance between the top of the roll bar and the bottom of the top? You definitely don’t want to mount the antenna horizontally.
I’m tagging in on this as I’d like to hear any expert advice on GMRS antenna mounting. I’m not sure how ground planes do or don’t affect GMRS and these antennas.
I have that antenna as well as the higher gain whip and have it mounted on the cowl. I like the cowl mount, but I’m not sure how it...
While I occasionally shop at Harbor Freight and appreciate the value they bring to tools that are infrequently used, I would never use a Harbor Freight electrical device connected to a Jeep. Never mind connected that same device to my house.
On to the intent of your question…does Jeep mention...
At the price Discount tire quoted me last week, it would be the same $300 for 5 tires, but with new sensors. Allowing the old wheels to be sold for a higher price with included TPMS. As a counter point, I would say I would value the OEM TPMS sensors more than whatever generic brand Discount...
Yes. But the tires must be removed and replaced (and balanced). I just had Discount tire quote me at $60/tire to buy new sensors. That includes install (for a different vehicle but I’m sure the cost is the same).
So even if you move forward slowly it still won’t disconnect? I’ve had mine stick a couple times when stopped on level ground and I thought it would disconnect on its own but didn’t. Once I rolled forward a few feet it disconnected and all was well.
Thanks! That’s great info.
Regarding the Ender, is the tweaking and calibrating type of stuff you’re referencing more about troubleshooting problems or upgrading etc?
I do like the price point of the Ender. My son likes building and messing with things. So it sounds like it might be a good...
I tried a search but couldn’t find much regarding recommendations for 3D printers. I know this is a Jeep forum, but there seems to be a fair amount of 3D printer use for Jeep odds and ends.
To be a little more specific, my 10 year old son would like to get a 3D printer, so ideally I would like...
While I don’t disagree with most of the prior post, I would also argue that the Carvanas and CarMaxs of the world have always been an easy but lowball way of selling your vehicle. On multiple occasions I have received significantly better value from dealerships in negotiation. Even the no haggle...
Sounds like you’re too far into it on your own, but (besides calling to speak to someone as was already mentioned) I probably would have removed it and refuted the charge with my credit card company. An unusable item was provided and the company wasn’t providing what was needed to make it right.
