I ordered my 2023 4xe on Saturday. I haven’t heard any updates from the dealership on the order process yet . 4 days later. Is this normal? When should I expect a VON or VIN?
has anyone else ordered the Sahara 4xe high altitude and how long did it take you to receive it ?

Timing will be anyone's guess until production starts next month and we see what starts getting built when. Recommend following along here to keep an eye on how 2023's are doing in general:
2023 Orders - Check in here

Most dealerships won't proactively reach out to you with updates. Personally I am going to email mine 2 weeks after I placed my order (which is actually in a few days!) to see if I have a VIN yet. Your order should get a VON pretty much as soon as the order is submitted. I got mine from my dealer the same day. My order showed up in the Jeep online tracking system 4 days after the order was submitted. But that info is usually pretty out of date.

Like that ^ guy said, you'll have a VON as soon as the order is placed. I ordered on 6/3 and my VON was available in minutes. If they say they don't have a VON then they likely haven't ordered it.

I just got my 4 XE about two weeks ago. I ordered it form the dealer and it was about a 5 month wait. So many variables play into how fast a person gets their vehicle. But it was worth the wait. 600 miles and loving it. Runs great and it is quick!

Do you drive in 4hi Auto? it will be a bit quicker than 2hi. looks good. Are those the factory Rubicon tires? they look bigger from this angle.

Hi there,

I drive in 2HI. They are 35" 315 KO2s. Actually measuring 34.4! They are quiet and run a bit softer sidewall than what many put on. So the ride is actually nice. They are a load range C I believe and speed rating S. Since I wont be doing extreme over landing on rocks, the C approach was better for what I was trying to achieve, and it still will easily carry the need be load. I simply did the reinforcement bracket on the back with the 3rd brake light relocation and the dealer recalibrated the speedo.

I drive in 2HI.
All of the guidance I've come across recommends using 4HI AUTO for regular driving instead of 2HI. With 4 AUTO, you get the best of both worlds, as it automatically delivers power to where it is needed, gives you full electric boost, and achieves comparable fuel economy to 2HI.

Thanks for the info. I don’t doubt what you are saying. I never knew this. I will do some research and have to swap over ?

It's funny I went into the 4xe thinking I was going to be all about the 375hp/4HI auto approach to things. I fell in love with the electric only mode, so most of the time I'm just doing that. It is nice to have both options tho! It's definitely nice to drop the hammer sometimes. Haha.

There wasn't a lot of clear information how the vehicle works (same with my wife's Audi). But it's nice to know the power is there if you need it.

Same here, though I have been running the motor mostly to get some miles on it for my first oil change. I have the oil and filter and cant wait. Will be so easy. I know I will be running mostly motor going to Montana in 3 weeks so wanted to get the engine prepped with fresh oil

Update since my last post. U are correct and the 4 Hi Auto has way more zest! But what I don't like is when turning tight into a drive at slow speed and or making tight turns. U can tell its in 4 wheel drive and feel the wheel hop a bit. It leaves black marks a bit on slow turns. So it would be accelerating tire wear. I am gonna keep running it in 2Hi. And if I am in a situation where I want to get around someone or a light, it is super easy to movie it 2 spots to 4 Hi Auto. Maybe others will chime in, but I assume at slow speed and making a tight turn, it senses to go into 4 wheel mode and kicks in sensing some loss of traction possibly

UPDATE: Thanks to other members, the issue is resolved and it was my mess up:)

Mine does not do that at all. Turning in 2 Hi or 4 Auto feels exactly the same on the road. Either you are in 4H or something is wrong.
