Lol, nope. I actually have a set for the winter I just picked up used. I just won't wheel with them.

I'll have you know my spouse can easily bounce her ass into the jeep. ;)
They're actually not all that great in the winter... Its a perfect perch for smooth ice, lol.

I was actually about ready to trade my steps for Rubi sliders once. Asked my wife to try to get in without using the steps and she was just too short.

Removing top speed limiters is not a good idea.

Hmmmm:
  • High center of gravity
  • Questionable steering
  • Brick-like aerodynamics
  • Offroad-oriented (and speed restricted) tires
  • Weak brakes
  • Death Wobble just quietly waiting to make an appearance.

Yup. Just add a 470bhp engine and you are good to explore the Autobahn. I smell a Darwin award coming up.

I ran them on my 2 dr JK in the winters. Didn't have too much problem. Then again, being Canadian, we have a different view than most as to what constitutes a lot of "snow and ice" though.

99.9% of HiLifts stored externally are for decoration.

Dirty edit: and 78.934% of HiLift owners have zero clue on how to even use one. I especially like seeing them on vehicles that literally have no spot to use them. Granted, it can be used as a winch as well but they don't know that either. Lol.
I would say you are off on your numbers>. 99.999%. LOL

As for using one, I have used them a lot and often...OHHH we are talking about Jeeps, sorry I was thinking of Livestock fencing, making great fence stretchers, post pullers, wheel jacks for rear tractor wheels, and stuff on the ranch and farm, since 1905!

FEW know how to use them and most should not use them, bodily damage from broken fingers to skull.

Almost as though it had a different name before HiLift came along eh? :)

Winter weather where I live involves (rare) snow melting and refreezing overnight. Most of the time its just sleet and freezing rain. Slick Ice is a bigger issue than deep snow for me.

I've been jumped a few times for saying I think a modest lift and 35" tires is the sweet spot for performance increase vs cost. This is supposed to be a safe space though, so don't start with me ; )
