If you are close to Huntsville, the Rocket City Wranglers is a huge FB group that can point out where quite a few hidden gems are. There are more exciting options in this area than you would think.

I joined them and Marshall County Wranglers. Just have to see when they go on rides and if I am free that particular weekend.

Anyone in north Alabama area? Looking for trails around here to take the sport down.
Here is a list I put together.

Where to go Off-Road

Never Go Alone and Tread Lightly

- Travel responsibly on designated roads, trails or areas.

- Respect the rights of others, including private property owners, all recreational trail users, campers and others so they can enjoy their recreational activities undisturbed.

- Educate yourself prior to your trip by obtaining travel maps and regulations from public agencies, planning for your trip, taking recreation skills classes and knowing how to operate your equipment safely.

- Avoid sensitive areas such as meadows, lake shores, wetlands and streams. Stay on designated routes.

- Pack out what you pack in and carry a trash bag on your vehicle to pick up litter left by others. Respected Access is Open Access

- Do your part by modeling appropriate behavior, leaving the area better than you found it, properly disposing of waste, minimizing the use of fire, avoiding the spread of invasive species and restoring degraded areas.

Nice shots. I miss Daga. Looks like you had perfect weather.

Had a pretty good time running Talladega 600-1 yesterday.

Just a FYI. Pics like the one on the rock can get you a pretty hefty ticket. That is considered "off trail". They will ticket you based on photo evidence.

Get a Map from the ranger station. There are several unapproved roads. I can't go this weekend but will be happy to show you some trails on a map. If you happen to be in Moulton. Just let me know.
Do you have a copy of this map or an address to the ranger station?

Cullman, AL checking in.

Just ordered a new JLURD. Dealer quoted 4-8 weeks. Just in time for summer!

Be sure and join the Cullman Co Wranglers and Marshall Co Wranglers and even the Group in Huntsville. Red stone Wranglers I believe. See you on the trails.

I was thinking of another group I am a member of at the current time. Red stone Warrants. Rocket City Wranglers is the big group in the area.

Crazy not to see many AL folks talking locally. Tons of Jeeps, I know you are here.
I guess I'm really Central AL, but didn't see a general Alabama Roll call.

I probably 20 years ago, I went wheeling with some CAOS guys in my lifted Xterra, and later in my TJ, but now going on 6 months with my JL and going to have to scratch the itch to explore.

I'm in Birmingham. Speak up!

You're in a much better spot than I am down in Auburn. I have to go up to the Talladega National Forest to find anywhere really to get off the beaten path. I'd love to do something in the near future myself; haven't taken the new 4xe off-road once yet.

There’s stuff everywhere, for a little off-road here and there, but always prefer to make a day of it if possible. Jumped into IronCity, I’ll see if I can find a few more.
Thanks
