Jeep Wrangler JL CENTER TREAD WEARING 20220224_150003

Last photo is of rear tire, both rears are wearing perfect.

Anyone know what's causing the fronts to wear this way?

I've put about 11000 miles on the tires. I only looked at the tread once it started to get loud. I have not rotated them.

The center logs wear unevenly.

I'm a Wrangler noob so just trying to figure it out.

Thank you for any help.

Welcome to the POS known as Milestar Patagonias. Rest assured you are wearing just fine for those $hitty tires. Been there done that. The only thing you can do is run them at 36 psi, make sure you have a good alignment (only toe is adjustable) and rotate often. You get what you pay for...

I would check the tire pressures, and rotate and possibly balance more often than you have been.

You're probably over inflated. Do the chalk test.

Based on personal experience I'd say he is underinflated or proper inflation. You CAN NOT do a chalk test with those POS tires. They don't work like a traditional mud tire like a Cooper STT Pro or a Nitto. They are actually a hybrid tire... mud tire on the outer lugs, standard tire on the center tread... $hit all around.

HA!!!! What a joke... comfortable ride my a$$. Hey we know we are giving you a 12.5" wide tire but when it comes to riding on pavement you get to use 3" of that. What a joke. Ironically they are pretty decent when aired down and wheeling on the rocks. But on road they suck balls.

Johnny, If you are mostly a hiway driver sell them to an off roader who can get more use out of them. Get a set of tires with better hiway manners and Americas tire/ Discount tire purchase includes 5,000 rotations and greatly improves service life.

There is a country song in those posts I believe.

Some sing about the loss of a good woman. Others, the drunken bar fight. mgroeger has 4x4 tires on the mind. Being from Texas I have the authority to attest to this being part of the genre.

We all have a few hiding inside of us somewhere.

I had a similar experience with some Firestones many moons ago. The struggle is real, mgroeger.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
I've got about 26k miles on my 295/70 E-rated Pats and they don't have near that much wear difference from the center to the outer lugs. I keep mine about 33 psi and rotate them every 6k miles (the same as my oil change schedule). They aren't a good wet or cold tire for sure but have been decent on dry rocky terrain and IME haven't found them to be a horrible road tire. Maybe having the E-load rating might help w/ the inner tread wear, not sure, and they have taken some fair amount of abuse. I wouldn't buy them again as I feel they wear faster than they should, and for the poor cold & wet traction. I've got Mickey Thompson ATZ P3s waiting in my shed, really can't wait to get them on TBH :)

11k miles and never rotated is not good with these tires. They don't have a long tread wear life, so a 5 tire rotation every 5k miles is the best way to prolong the set. I got just over 35k out of my 1st set of 38x13.5's, and although they still had almost 3/8" of tread in the center, I retired them right before this winter because they were starting to get slippery in the rain. That means snow traction was gone. I really wanted a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/T's, but couldn't wait for the long backorder due to shortages. That pushed me into a 2nd set of Pat's, but I decided to try 40x13.5's this time.

These tires have a curved vs square tread design, so they won't pass a chalk test without being at a very low pressure.
