in all fairness, if you want to be critical of bright blinding headlights, look no further than this community for equal if not greater offenders. lol.

As a side rant, blinding bright headlights from Teslas, to Jeeps, to lifted vehicles is becoming a serious problem for my aging eyes. (I'm only in my mid 30's btw).
It's gotten so bad that I've tinted my front windshield just to help reduce the burning glare. I've even began contemplating driving with sunglasses on at night.
"I wear my sunglasses at night" ????

Varies from state to state, CA 8 lights.
Negative on that, sir.

CA allow a maximum of 8 lights **** for off road use **** section 24411

For on-road use, section 24405 explicitly states that no more than 4 (four) lights can be on at any one time.

For your pleasure....

24405. (a) Not more than four lamps of the following types showing
to the front of a vehicle may be lighted at any one time:
(1) Headlamps.
(2) Auxiliary driving or passing lamps.
(3) Fog lamps.
(4) Warning lamps.
(5) Spot lamps.
(6) Gaseous discharge lamps specified in Section 25258.

So, on the road, any Wrangler lights in addition to the factory headlights and fog lights are simply noise and drag generators.

Not a fan of the three ambers myself, but to each their own. My current setup for lighting on my Jeep works great for my weekend camping trips and has really come in handy on those dark, winding trails at night.

Those look good. No concerns with diminished airflow to the engine compartment? If you were in my state, you'd have to have those covered on road, which is a shame.

I haven’t had any issues but that doesn’t mean I won’t have any issues. From a performance standpoint and monitoring on the dashboard there doesn’t seem to be any problems.

Technically I think they need to be covered here in California but at least in Southern California, there are so many vehicles with external lights that as long as they’re not switched on, local PD and even CHP do not bother enforcing.

I am considering the 3 amber goober lights because I have a base jeep with know driving lights. Of course I could just run lights on during the day, but I was going to wire them up so they come on when the jeep is started, so they would be DRL's.

I don't think DRL are necessary but almost every vehicle made now days has them. The way I was looking at it was if it helps some of those distracted idiots see me, well then all the better. Plus on the Wrangler I think the 3 goober lights in the grill actually look good, but that is just for me.

Yes, off highway use limits to 8 HEADLAMPS you could in addition have 2 fogs 2 aux 2 passing 2 spots because they are not headlamps as described. The limit of 4 lighted at one time is both on and off highway use.

On road, uncovered, limited to 4 lighted at once 10 lights.

Sect 24400- 2 headlamps, required
Sect 24402- 2 aux driving lamps + 2 passing lamps
Sect 24403-2 Foglamps
Sect 24404- 2 White Spotlamps

Additional lights are specialized use, low fogs, high aux, narrow headlights, wide headlights...
Simply noise and drag for your use may be true, others may have greater diversity needs.

Another correction, Dodge does not make pickup trucks. Dodge got out of the pickup truck business in 2009.
Well, not really... They just rebranded from "Dodge/Ram" to Dodge for the non-truck lines, and "Ram" for the trucks.

Kinda like the Bayliner “Trophy” fishing boats. Years into production they decided the Trophy would sell better if it could stand apart from the Bayliner name, but there were no material changes worth mentioning.

If Chevrolet decides to split off the "Silverado" brand, and leave all the same supply lines, managers, employees, practices, dealers, and processes in place, nobody will be saying "Chevy got out of the truck business."

Now, for the non Baby-boomers in our community, I have attached a picture of "Goober". He's the guy after whom I named the grill lights.

Sorry, but since 2009, there is no such thing as a "Dodge Ram." It's either a Dodge or a Ram; not both. Saying "Dodge Ram" is like saying I ordered a "Buick Chevrolet". I know it's a hard habit to break, but it is the reality of the company structure these days.

Great looking truck! Never been into trucks but after owning a Jeep, I would now like to own a truck at one point. Probably going with a 170 Sprinter 2022 chassis first, but I have a long list so it's alright haha :)

The Wrangler is the Honda Civic of SUVs. The Goober lights are the roof fins and the snorkel is the giant double-decker wing. They’re accessory platforms.

When pimped out, they’re both perfectly at home backed into a parking spot in the employee portion of a Walmart parking lot.
