Yeah still expensive with the stablizing base, but almost half the cost over the ARB. The cheap ones on Amazon are a hard pass for me.

You can save $200 by removing the stabilizer kit and just go to Lowe’s or Home Depot to pick up a few blocks of wood. Throw it all in a duffel bag and be done. If you want to save another $100 over the “recovery kit” jack just buy this one and do the same.

$1,000 for the jack and the base? Wow, they are proud of this. I think I will stick with my super dangerous Hi-lift that when operated correctly, is very safe and can be used as a come-along or weapon against Zombies. Zombies would laugh at the ARB Jack and bite the shit out of you for spending that much.
The Hi-Lifs handle is also a great cheater pipe!!

@alksion I went through a few rounds of optimizing my on the road jack setup. See here for pics and discussion:

+1 for keeping a breaker bar in the Jeep in lieu of the standard tire iron.

I don’t have experience with the ARB Jack but I was lugging around a Hi-Lift for a while and found that it’s overkill.

Better do your squats, kettlebell swings and bicep curls so that you can swap your tire by yourself when you happen to be alone the next time you need to change a tire out in the wilderness.

I bought this exact one along with the Safe Jack 3 piece starter kit. Added a couple different blocks of wood and it all fits nicely in a small recovery bag. Plus it's convenient to take it between vehicles.

Literally went out of stock as it was in my cart...

Edit: Found it in stock at tractor supply co!

Just an fyi and not sure if it matters to you but the one from TS is a different part number. The TS has 12 shallow both SAE & Metric with a 1 year warranty where the other is only metric, lifetime warranty and deep well. I was just about to buy this but would rather have the lifetime warranty.

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
Sad to hear about the quality issues with the ARB. Do you all bring a impact drill with you for quickly release the wheel lugs?
I use a bottle jack. In three years of wheeling, used it once for someone in need. I do carry an impact gun with me, never needed if for myself, but did loan it to a guy at Rausch Creek that was attempting to change a broken front axle.

Makes sense. Just want to have something since I don’t have anything at all.

I got my safe Jack, bottle jack and the actual bottle jack itself says made in China……. the parts that come with it are manufactured here in the US. I realize that they just re- brand the actual bottle jack but I was under the assumption that the rebranded unit was made in the USA as well…. Not thrilled

I saw the ARB hydraulic jack in action on the trail today and I will be saving up for one of these. Amazing piece of equipment.
Nice! I considered it as well. Have you used both a bottle jack and hi-lift? If so which do you prefer?
