I have 2.5inch Icon Lift on my JLU RUBI and it sits way too high.. I just cant fit my jeep into any garage int he city... What would it be the best way to make it more close to 2.5 inch lift without replacing the entire lift kit? can I just get shorter spring from other brand? I think ICON gives about 3.5 to 4inch lift instead of 2.5inch

thank you~~~

Most lifts advertise what you will gain on a Rubicon which is 1.5" taller than a Sport or Sahara. You gained about 2.5-3" of lift. Not much you can do to lower it other than take it off. I know I did a lot of measuring and asking what other people gained before I installed my lift. Was worried about the same thing.

I think they mean air down to like 15 psi as If you were to go hit the trails. But are you running stock wheels/tires too? Honestly it sounds like bad luck having a shorter door.

Do you have steel bumpers and a winch? That pulled my AEV lift down about an inch. Also, give it some time, my springs settled in after a few weeks.

When accounting for lift you need to account for tire height as well... I would assume your combo is about 3-4 inches too high for most garages. Only thing you can do is swap the whole kit.

Did you ask Icon if they offer a shorter spring?

You could revert to the Rubi springs plus a spacer to lock in height.

Maybe Dynatrac 2" springs or the RK 2.5"s. Here's the Trail Recon measurements from youtube:

How "too tall" is it? Is it one inch?

The graph of the lift heights achieved show the Icon springs providing ~one inch of additional height over advertised. Are you really only .9 - 1.03 inches too tall, or do you need something else to fit into the garages?
