just had two different session with Jeep chat, checking on my order from 4/6/18. They both said my vehicle was built and would be ready in a couple of days however my Window Sticker/Build Sheet has not been found by the automatic tracker. I feel like this is a giant letdown in the making! lol

I purchased the Ace sliders..they are currently waiting for my Jeep.
I still haven't decided between the Ace, LOD Destroyers or Rock Hard Patriots as of yet.....It appears I have some time still to decide with the way my build length is looking

I am in same boat, don't like the Sahara Step though. Here is what I'm going with and will be ordering tomorrow. It acts like a step and should do the trick. I saw it on one of the boards here on a Granite Rubi that was just purchased. It looks good. My only concern is whether the slider will act enough like a step to actually be functional. I would love to hear from others who have gone this route.

I have the ace rock sliders on my JK and they work great as side steps also. I have definitely heard plenty of rocks bouncing off of them when riding down the road so they should help with rocks hitting the door hinges.

I will say that ACE has excellent customer service! They put the customer first. That matters to me.

I've been researching steps and sliders a lot in the past week -- what else is there to do while waiting for delivery -- and the Ace JL sliders are best I've seen for overall functionality. There are some better, but not in the below $500 category. They compliment the OEM rock rails nicely and don't look like they will fall appart after two winters (I've replaced the bars on my pickup 3 times in 10 years because they rusted out).

Well, my order from ACE was below $500. When you mention this forum..you get 10%off. Check it out. If I remember correctly..with shipping it was $477. Not bad IMO.

I looked at the others referenced in the thread and I think I will go with ACE. I was thinking of the Mopar factory tubular steps but I can't get over the fact that I would have to do away with the rock rails. Customer service is important to me too. I am about a week away from getting my Jeep so I will likely have to install them after the fact.

What is happening from the KO2 tires (notorious for slinging small rocks) on the Rubicon. This owner reported after just 1000 miles. I’m going to have to do something......I hope by changing out the rock sliders to an Nfab style step/rock crawler that it deflects some of these.

I'm going to cover them with 3M clean vinyl
