I've been busy since last week. Finally trying to finalize a deal and place an order today and got a call that they can't order a matching top again! The only saving grace is the rep walked in the door as he was calling to tell me, so they are trying to figure it out right now.

Wait until she sees the ALL Sting Gray treatment. She'll change her tune. Then you say "I told you so".
Well after 2 days of battling my rational self, I'm leaning toward being rational and going black top and black fenders now. The irony is, if I had made that decision to begin with I could have been potentially picking it up this weekend instead of just now ordering. Between my kids and off roading they will be better for the wear. Plus the soft top is black in the summer anyway. Savings between the 2 would pay for the PPF I want and also allow me to re-allocate time and material to cover the lower rocker areas and door sills without paying any extra. Or buy a set of Rock Slide Engineering Step Sliders so my 2 year old, who INSISTS on climbing in our cars, can actually climb in. That said now I need to decide one more time if I want auto or manual. For the most part I'm leaning auto 80/20 at the moment. Wasn't there reports of Rubi's with manuals getting significantly better fuel economy with the manual?

I don't think a manual is going to get better gas mileage than a modern 8-speed automatic unless they really screwed up the programming on it. The official gas mileage on the manual is 1 MPG lower.

Just a heads up. Leather is a problem if you ordered it according to my dealer. I placed my order on 3/27 and I have not been given a VIN yet. Apparently leather is all allocated until mid May. They won't even get it in the build schedule until then :( I ordered a JLUR with color matched top and fenders.
Might as well get the Trail Rail then....waiting til end of May regardless.

This: Black with red outline and jeeps climbing the plastic vent insert!

More fun with Photoshop! Can't know for sure the correct dimensions of the vent decal, but maybe @pixeldecals can get that going! Who can concentrate with all these Sting-Gray deliveries happening?!

Just an FYI: I saw a video showing removing the stock tie-down system. It is the simplest thing. That said if you get the trail rail management system later you’ll end up with both versions for the same price! A lot of folks came to the same conclusion with the all weather and stock carpet mats.

Be irrational, don't talk yourself out of what you want. I've done that too many times and usually regret it. But whatever way you go it will still look great.

I honestly think I will have more fun when off road than I would if they were painted and I spend the money to put PPF on them. Also I really want to get a Rhino Rack once available and I think it would look better on a black top. Also for whatever my OCD says it's ok to drill a black top for mounting the Rhino Rack plates but it's not ok to drill a painted top. Did I mention that the garage is for my kids toys outside and they just let us park our cars in there?

Also maybe it's the side steps and/or the wheels, or just the lighting, but I'm really not liking the look of the painted fenders on the Sahara delivery pictures.
