My question, Yesterday after driving my JL for a while, I got in to restart, put my foot on the brake, and where the odometer reading would be i saw 9999999. I started it up, still there, drove it a while, still there. Went through all the menus... still there. Then suddenly .... PUFF 555 miles shows up.

Don't know about the 99999 miles issue, but the instrument cluster on your steering wheel can cycle through different modes on your dash screen. You'll have to cycle through to the gear info on there and then select to display it on the dash.

Edit: Wellp, you edited your original post removing that question and now this post makes me look like a jackass, thanks.

Yes, I've done that when you go to the gear info you can choose all or one. But still it doesn't show the number for the gear it is in under the D.
Maybe it will re appear just like the correct mileage. With computerized displays anything can happen now, and then big bucks. Lucky I'm warranted for 7 years on all parts.

The setting for current gear is on the options menu, under "current gear".

I think I found the issue here. New to this key arrangement. The mileage read 575 miles today, I tried to start the JL without stepping on the brake... obviously nothing happened.... EXCEPT the odometer now read 999999. When I started the JL, within seconds the odometer read 575 again.

Give it a try, let us know if that is whats happening here.

Well, I guess your warranty has run out. My Ford F350 developed a computer glitch at 5,000 miles. I started it up and watched the odometer spin up like a digital watch. By the time I got to the dealership...it had added nearly 7,000 miles to the odometer. They fixed the problem...but the odometer still read 12,000 miles. When I demanded that they reset the odometer...they said that would be breaking Federal law so they refused. If I had had to drive a long distance to get it fixed...I would have run through the whole 60,000 miles warranty in hours.

999999, wow are you screwed on your warranty!!

They have NOT solved the leaks, just a different place!! Only my 2007 and 2012 JKU's didn't leak, all my CJ's leaked and almost all in the same PLACES!!! Only one leak in my JLU, so some improvement over my 53 years of Jeep ownerships! lol

Go Jeep!!!!

So far. No leaks. Doors close much more positively, been through many car washes and so far dry. Positive thoughts here.

Yes, on Doors closing better, happy you have no leak. Mine runs in on drivers side, runs particularly into light switch, nice! First thought it was run off in rain storms when door opened, now pretty sure it's a leak! Still drips pretty bad when door opens though. Hate wet floor mats!

Go Jeep!!!
