So on the last two start ups of the Jeep the odometer shows 999999...

In actuality the I'm just a bit over 3000 miles!

The correct reading does actually show up relatively quickly after but it seems like it only show the correct milage after a mile turns over.

This is pretty random behavior and I am concerned that there may be some other looming issue.

The only mod that I had added recently is a catch can but other wise the entire engine bay is stock. (These two things seem entirely un related)

Also last week I experienced the dreaded blackout "Check surroundings" on the back up camera but it returned to normal after sitting for a few hours.

Has anyone else seen the 999999 reading at start up?

Congratulations on your jeep purchase, your warranty period has expired. Good new is you qualify for an extended warranty for the low price of $5000 for 12 months. Please call 888-urs-crwd to start today!

Mine does this too but not every time. I have Tazer lite but it’s in-married currently.

I decided to check the fuses...quite a few of them did need to be pressed in a bit. I will verify the odometer next time I jump in.

Just confused about being the first million mile jeep JL after 5 months...smh

Could you possibly update me on the solution? My 2018 Sahara Unlimited just started doing it: Odometer reads 999999 miles. I have the service bulletin but the dealer says my VIN doesn't show it's affected. I have an appt tomorrow.

So our 18 Sport S started doing this. Is there a way to re-program without going to the dealer? Recently got both the mileage and temp reading inaccuracies.

Mine is doing this too. Outcome? This is an obvious problem for many

There are a couple of these electrical ‘gremlins’ out there. I have a ‘19 Sahara 6MT and the service transmission light came on last week. I was concerned because I got the recall done and all seemed fine.

Dealer kept it overnight. Probably went out to get lunch in it, did some ‘reflash’ or whatever term he used on it and it’s been running fine.
Bring the picture of the 999999 or the 800 degrees and I am prettt sure if it is a halfway decent dealer they will just fix it.

Also, I am out of warranty and I don’t have any extended warranty or anything. These periodic electrical gremlins seem to pop up from time to time and they just take care of it.
