"I see that we currently have a material restriction at the plant with orders containing both String Gray Paint (PDN sales code) and the 3-Piece Hard Top (HT3 sales code) which your has. The current production date for this combination to start building, is 5/7/18."

I'm surprised I recieved a response, but happy with the answer. Maybe my SG will be built on my birthday.

That can’t be true bc my SG Sahara with matching hardtop and premium soft top went from no VIN on Mon., VIN assigned and into D status Tues., through F and G status yesterday and in I status today.

Congrats, first time I've heard color match top going through production. Might be hope for the rest of us after all. Sure would like to have my new Jeep by beach vacation.

I thought it was odd he said that, unless yours is the only one they built. That's hard to believe that's the case too. I don't think anyone knows anything.

Sure it can. There could be a limited number available for builds, and those have all been assigned already. If they are scheduled to receive more in May, then the builds can resume... That could be the same for any part. LED group restrictions would not necessarily mean they were not building with those parts, just that there was not enough to allocate new builds. I would love to see what the factory stores look like for pumping out a thousand vehicles a day.

I worked in the parts department at Pratt & Whitney scheduling deliveries to engine overhaul shops and airlines. We often had parts restrictions that prevented new order even though there seemed to be plenty of stock. Sometimes there's just more demand than what is forecasted to be needed and it takes time to adjust.

Now... Where's my Jeep already?!

Crazy that in todays environment they can run their business in this manor. Whats even crazier is how we all accept it! LOL
