i figured you guys might know, since you are pretty deep into the electrical stuff for your refrigerators and stuff... i have a stock rubicon with 2.0. if i use a battery tender on the main battery, will the ESS battery get charged as well?

Yes both will get charged.

My experience is that if I set the battery charger to the lower amp setting that I get a much better charge that lasts longer. I have the 3.6 V6 with the ESS. IMHE
