There's a lot of first timers here and the fact this forum is so welcoming and helpful is part of it's appeal. If they're spending $35-55k for their first jeep, they shouldn't be feeling laughed at if they have no plans to off road.

There's been elitist d-bags on every forum I've ever been on, calling themselves "real fans" or "true believers" or whatever else. It's not enough that you all patronize the same product--what matters is if you've been loyal since the beginning, or if you only wear their merch, or if you know some lingo or secret handshake. I've always found it droll, and the last thing I'm going to do is justify my $48,000.00 purchase to some random anonymous mudsucker.

Bought the new Rubicon JL. Drive 2 1/2 hours to work (each way) everyday through often snowy mountains and over Siskiyou summit. Not sure how much I'll get "off road" but this rig serves the purpose. Anyone want to bust my balls over painted fenders go ahead. Ps... I'm sure the are a few of you commenting that would drive this rig in a hot second! Have a good day man!
