Tuesday we turn in my wife's Jetta at lease end. This will be 12 wks from the order date of the Wrangler. We were told then 8 - 12 weeks which would have worked out well. It will be a pain to go back to 1 vehicle for this undetermined time.
The Jeep dealer actually is across the street from the VW dealer so I will pop in there and see what kind of BS they provide me with.

I know I shouldn't respond, but I can't help myself because the irony is too rich. Seriously - you try to mock my understanding of the English language by demonstrating you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're". You got it wrong twice in one sentence

I will not respond again on this issue so the last word is yours. Regardless, thanks for giving me a laugh:cwl:
Yes you shouldn't respond, but just can't help yourself . Just like sticky your nose in where didn't belong in the first place. The fact remains you still obviously don't know the meaning of only, and thank you for the laugh.

Another interesting fact:

While at the dealer on Saturday, they had just received another shipment of 2 dr JK Wranglers. Must have 10 or more on the lot now. Mostly Rubi's and Sahara's. They also had 4 Recon's. All at MSRP plus an extra $100 for Mopar locking lug nuts.

Must be some special "nuts" to tack on an extra $100 bucks to a 40+k vehicle.
Yeah, your dealer is an obvious rip-off artist compared to mine. Mine gives you lug nuts AND nitrogen filled tires for $100. He still claimed this was a great deal even after being reminded it was for a vehicle that would be regularly aired down.

On second thought, maybe this should be here:

Are you for real or just an April fool’s joke? I’m surprised you’re getting any updates on a holiday.

The way FCA operates; it’s difficult to tell what is a truthful reality anymore.

Welcome to this thread. There have been numerous reports on when 2drs will begin production and my money is on April 9 since we're starting to see people reporting they've been assigned target ship dates for that week. To be clear, this is not a next run but the first run because 2dr JL production has yet to commence.

As a result, delivery could be beyond your expectations. There's at least a 2 month backlog of orders in front of you that will take time to work through. Also, with any new production start, there's usually a quality hold for a couple of weeks before any vehicles are released for shipping.

Regardless, here's hoping we both see our builds sooner rather than later.
I appreciate the information, thank you. I had heard that there were very few, if any, 2 door JL Wranglers out there at all. So I was expecting the full 12 week wait from date that I ordered. Now it seems I may have to wait even longer. I don't like to hear that but I'll take an uncomfortable truth over a reassuring lie any day. I guess I will have to adjust my expectations accordingly...

Here's to both of us being pleasantly surprised at seeing our new Jeep sooner than expected, after adjusted expectations....

Which engine? Not sure when the turbo became order available. Also the fact you said every option would lead me to believe it’s the turbo.
Sorry to mislead you, I meant that I got most optional items. I went with the Pentastar 6 cyl for the motor. I got most of the upgrades though: body color top and fenders, auto trans, 8.4" navigation unit, leather seats, keyless entry, cargo management, cold weather group, tow package, hard top headliner, rubber mats, etc.

I feel ya. Two weeks from today I turn my leased car in & have to rely on borrowing vehicles from people until my Jeep arrives.

I am also new to the thread, which I do read everyday and find a lot of useful information. As others, I am waiting for my 2 dr Rubi to be built. So question? Mine is being built as a Employe order and was told by a senior manager who dealt with my case on my old Wrangler. That it will be a priority build. Is it true that mine will be one of the first.
thanks Roket
