Dealer can order me either engine, but for his 'SALES LOT" he can only order the 2.0 Turbo.

Checked in with a local dealer today. Spoke to the sales manager and he showed me on his computer that he is only able to order the 2.0 L Turbo for his sales lot.

YES, lobbyist paid for with your money by the dealer associations in each state.

It's not just dealer associations. Manufacturers have been lobbying hard to keep state laws requiring sales through dealerships to restrict competition from Tesla which has no traditional dealer network.

This is silly. Even using your twisting of Quigley's words, his intended meaning is still correct. His dealer is only able to get turbos for his sales lot where he can get turbos and V6's for customers.

The original post that started all this could have used more explicit wording, but given the entirety of the post and its context, the intent was clear. The post was about what to expect on dealers' lots and not about customer orders.

I know I shouldn't respond, but I can't help myself because the irony is too rich. Seriously - you try to mock my understanding of the English language by demonstrating you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're". You got it wrong twice in one sentence

Order submitted, deposit paid, on Feb 16 of this year (18'). Got a VIN within 10 days, and my order has been in "D" status for a little over 5 weeks.
I last checked on 3/28 and was told that the next run of 2 door Wranglers are scheduled to be built around 4/15. I suppose mine will show up at the dealership around early to mid-May...

I ordered a 2 door, Rubicon, in red with color matched top and fenders. I got about every option except the smokers package. Really looking forward to getting this vehicle. I've had a 15' JK, 08' JK, 01' TJ, 77' CJ-5, and learned to drive in my dad's 66' CJ-5.

Welcome to this thread. There have been numerous reports on when 2drs will begin production and my money is on April 9 since we're starting to see people reporting they've been assigned target ship dates for that week. To be clear, this is not a next run but the first run because 2dr JL production has yet to commence.

As a result, delivery could be beyond your expectations. There's at least a 2 month backlog of orders in front of you that will take time to work through. Also, with any new production start, there's usually a quality hold for a couple of weeks before any vehicles are released for shipping.

Regardless, here's hoping we both see our builds sooner rather than later.

Another interesting fact:

While at the dealer on Saturday, they had just received another shipment of 2 dr JK Wranglers. Must have 10 or more on the lot now. Mostly Rubi's and Sahara's. They also had 4 Recon's. All at MSRP plus an extra $100 for Mopar locking lug nuts.

Must be some special "nuts" to tack on an extra $100 bucks to a 40+k vehicle.

Which engine? Not sure when the turbo became order available. Also the fact you said every option would lead me to believe it’s the turbo.
