I know some of us were curious and other's have thought that maybe the new '41 is the same as Commando Green from the JK, just renamed, even though they both have different paint codes.

I was curious myself if they were the same or not until today.

I was able to park my '41 next to a Commando Green JK and could clearly see although they are pretty close, they are indeed different.

The '41 looks slightly darker and maybe has more of a brown tint in it than Commando Green.
Also, I think the Commando Green has more of a light green tint to it.

Anyway... I took a picture of the two together.
This is probably the first picture of the two colors side by side on the net. LoL

Now I need to find a Gator JT and compare it with the '41.

I can't honestly say I ever saw a JK in that color green. They both look good. Nice photo.

Thanks for sharing. 👍

I had a Commando Green JK. I really liked that color, but thought it was a poor name for it. It was more like the color of a cactus pad than it was a military shade.

My JK was commando green. Black wheels really made the color look nicer to me. It looked different in the sun and shade.

Like the '41 better. Less pea-soupy. Thanks for the pic!

It was only available for 2013. Everyone scooped them up and they were damn near impossible to find even used for the longest time, and because Jeep "listens to their customers" so much, they killed it and never brought it back.

Yet they had it available on Rengades for a couple years. It was only available on the JK for about 4 months in 2013, then gone forever.

Mine shortly after I bought it. The color changed shades with varying light, a lot like Anvil.

***Warning - unpopular opinion ahead. Thin-skinned Jeepers need not read on***

Both colors look to have been inspired by diaper contents - the difference between the two being the age of the diaper-wearer.
Neither of which compare to Rescue Green, hands down the best baby shit color you could ever get on a Jeep.

I had to Google that one. But yeah, you're not wrong.
