I’m surprised that we are into September and there hasn’t really been any information officially released at to the 26 MY Wranglers and Gladiators
A couple colors, this door hardware, everything else is the same as ‘25. There was another thread with all the info

I’m a big fan of the idea of that. I know it’s been done but I like it. I just had to put my doors back in after 2 weeks of no doors and bolting those little things down is annoying.

One of the first things I did when I took delivery of my 21 was shove those stupid check things inside the door. Forgot they even existed until reading this thread.
I only reattach mine for the winter months.

Damn I must have missed that thread. I’ve been looking for information cause my next one is prolly going to be a 26. If you see that other thread again could you tag me in it?

If you look up 2026 order guide or something of that nature you should find it. It was post from one of the dealers on here.

You don't have friends who think a wrangler hood needs to be slammed to be closed....

Is it safe to assume these will be compatible with pre 2026 models?

Oh weird all of these years taking the doors off and I never thought of doing this. So you just have the flexible strap and the electrical connected when the doors are on? Do the doors actually stay open reliably or to they tend to swing shut? That's my main concern with not using the metal checks too. Well that and the door falling off if I'm upside down. Although I do tend to try and avoid that particular situation. :)

Correct. They do usually tend to swing shut, but that's never bothered me.

They do swing pretty freely without the check arms, but that's how the factory half-doors also work as they don't even have a check arm to give you the option of using it. I keep my arms attached and sort of wish the half doors had them, but at least those doors are so light that it's not a big deal.
