JLU Helped Me Pull Off The Perfect Wedding

My fiancé (now wife) and I wanted to get married in a beautiful place. We landed on Sedona AZ as we have both been together and it holds a special place in our hearts. Since we are from the East Coast, I rented a Rubicon instead of driving for days to get out to AZ. We were able to wheel some trails with incredible views, and although its not MOAB we did get to see how incredibly capable these machines are. We had to scramble up to Merry Go Round to make it to sunset for the pictures, the traffic in Sedona gets brutal towards sunset and we were chasing the clock all the way up Schnebly Hill. We‘re still waiting on the photographer to get us the photos but we have some good iPhone shots.

We also explored Dry Creek Vista to check out Devils Bridge, and Broken Arrow BOH trail. Broken Arrow showed me exactly why I need to get out west more to wheel, its not the most difficult trail but it does have a a couple of spots that get a little technical. The views from Submarine Rock and Chicken Point are incredible. I will always have a wrangler in my garage, no matter what. These vehicles are now tied to the best day of my life and although they‘re just machines, they have become a part of our story and Im so lucky to get that feeling every time I hop into my wrangler.

I will leave you with this little bit of wisdom my wife & I learned the hard way. Attack the problem, not each other. After all, you are a team now, so work together as a team. After all, neither of you are perfect, you will disappoint each other some times. But, if you attack the problem & not each other, you can work through or conquer ANYTHING!

Congrats, my wife and I did the same thing, honeymooned in Ouray/Silverton Colorado nearly 20 years ago. We are still together and Jeeps are still a huge part of our lives.

My new father-in law said pretty much the same thing during his speech at the reception. My own father also said something very similar to us a few weeks before the wedding. Seems like all of the best advice comes from people with a lot of life experience, I greatly appreciate you sharing that wisdom with me and the rest of the forum!

You were able to rent a Rubi..?? Surely you weren't dealing with any of the mainstream rental companies. I've never been able to do better than a Sahara that way.

There are local companies in Sedona that rent out lifted Rubicons. They’re also in Moab and parts of Colorado.

Congratulations! My wife and I have been married 21 years. Moved out of NYC and into Phoenix. We love it here. Our wishes for a happy life together. Those pics are awesome and you only do it once. Or twice, or three times, but best to stick with the one time deal!
