What are your thoughts on the hitch mount system? Worth it?That's awesome. I just got this for mine.
I have two setups from Adventure Hammock Systems (hitch and roof mounted), but I really wanted to try the Outpost. Can't wait for the next camping trip!
Thanks for the review!
It's solid! I just wanted my hitch back to tow a kayak trailer. What are your thoughts on the hitch mount system? Worth it?
Thanks!! My wife wants a hammock and will never tow with her Sahara, so that is a better route for her. Appreciate the feedback and great looking Stomper! It's solid! I just wanted my hitch back to tow a kayak trailer.

Trees aren't usually a problem - tree spacing at campsites can be (I'm a Scout leader - it happens, especially at our council camp). Driving into a site isn't always an option, so the free-standing stand negates those issues. It packs down small enough where folding down seats aren't an issue.Doesn't appear to back down that small - it's 52" x 6" x 6.5". Looks like you would lose a rear seat / have to fold down to get it in. Suspect others, like me, have quite a bit of storage in rear of Jeep already that would be hard to fit.
My current hammock is in a bag about the size of a baseball hat. It requires two trees, but in Midwest those are everywhere. I could also use an eyebolt on rhino rack and then just need one tree / structure!
Fair ball! My Jeep's back area is pretty tight already. Agree on tree spacing! Long enough (and tight enough) guidelines can help but yeah, you aren't stringing a hammock across 100 yds!
