- Buy jeep (2024 sahara)
- Drive jeep
- Dont connect jeep to wifi or phone
- Past three months ownership so no more free jeep connect package i didnt want anyway
- Jeep notifies me that it failed an update one day
- Next day jeep notifies me that it received the update and things are fine.
Wait what? So the jeep can be updated even if its not connected to anything? And it will do it regardless of if I want it or not!?
Clearly remote control is still on since if they can change software they can brick the vehicle or make it honk the horn every time it detects a stronger person in the drivers seat in front of you during rush hour traffic. So please, tell me again where my privacy starts and ends, who actually owns the vehicle I paid for in full and while we are at it tell me why the GPS feature isnt free because if jeep can force software down our throats in the first place against our will then there is a two way communication happening that they are paying for anyway.
You will own nothing and be happy im told, but im not happy. I would rather own what I bought and this doesn't feel like ownership.
