Xtreme Recon delayed until October 2022

NY autobroker told me he’s unable to select Xtreme Recon package for 2022 Willys build on system. Sees selection available for rubicon but not Willys although we know it’s been advertised as available for Willys. Jeep dealship relationships are telling him XR are either “recalled” or “delayed” and XR builds are paused and will resume in October 2022. Is this an issue for Willys trim only? What are other members experiencing? Thanks.

It seems like several XR Rubicons have been delivered the last few weeks. I hope what he told you isn’t true because I have one on order.

There’s nothing recalled about the XR package, has rolled out fine for 2021 and 2022 Rubicons so far with many taking delivery. Jeep doesn’t yet offer the option for Willy’s XR’s I believe. They said they would be available in 2022, but not when this year

I'm pretty sure there was a poster on here that ordered a Willys XR in December?

Agreed. I also saw a 2022 Willys XR order slip on this forum. But did they get delivery or maybe their order was placed on hold.

I ordered my Rubicon with the extreme recon package on the 15th of October it just went into paint on the 21/012022

What date was this ordered and do you have a current update on the build status? I am wondering if you got your order in, but if your production may have been delayed or postponed because of the XR package option (AGB). Thanks.

I think that was just the Willy’s package in general. I just bought half doors off a lady who ordered her Willy’s Jeep last October (delivered end of December) and they made her order half doors. Not an XR package.

Good to know on the Rubicon XR. Perhaps the question is more related to Willys XR. Wondering if there is a difference between the two in terms of "availability".

I ordered a 2022 Willys XR in December from Chapman. They had no problem ordering it. Got the von immediately and vin the next day. I've also seen Willys XR be finished on cryptostickers.net. I would call Chapman to order it since they are right outside Phili if you're using a NY broker that can't order it for you.

I do not have a VON yet, we did this on 1/19 after the price increase (grrr). Ill post if I hear anything or it falls thru.
