I found a dealer not too far that has high velocity. This is one beautiful looking car ? how did you get the pink on the rims?
I took the rings off and had them powder coated.

Love it!!!!! Where we live there are mainly black, silver and white cars. Hardly any color. Need to think if I can pull this color off. Need to see it real person next weekend ? love it on pictures though.

You get different axles, brakes, steel knuckles, tailgate re-inforcement, and different gears too. You can't get everything under 5k. Nowhere near.

It's not just wheels and a lift.
Agreed. I got the XR package on my 23 Willys JLU. There's a lot of stuff you don't see from the outside that the XR package includes as mentioned above. Even if you do plan on modifying your Jeep later, it still provides you a better base to build from. Yeah; you can get a lift cheap. But upgraded axles, brakes, etc.? I think the XR package is cheaper in the long run unless you're just thinking looks.

Only thing I added to mine (2023 XR model - don't know if the 2024 XR model has the same 1.5" lift) was a half-inch spring spacer front and rear to lift it just a little more to give it a full 2" lift.

So we agreed now to order a new Jeep Willy’s (I have the high volume list, thanks!). We know we will get the heated seat package. I guess we have to do the 3.6 as 2.0 not available right now. We are still struggling with the color (white, anvil or high velocity). It will be my daily driver.

Now my husband found the tire package but it’s nearly 5k! Is it really worth it and so much better looking? We won’t do any off road- it would really just for be for optics.
IMO, when the XR package was available on the Willys, it was a good value (tire, brake, gearing upgrade). Now, Willys come with previous Rubicon gearing and tires. Not sure on axels tho. If I were ordering now, I'd probably save that money since the Willys has been upgraded. Also, if you haven't seen Anvil in person, it's beautiful!!! Also, in case you definitely want he XR package, I have the XR package and daily drive and it's great!

If just for looks— no. Hard pass.

Completely stock my center to center ride height on each shock was 21.25" front and 22.875” rear. So that would be about 1.25" lift front and ~ 0.250" rear over a Rubicon, if the accepted lengths are 20" and 22.5".

I'm going to add spacers too to give more bump travel.

35 package was a no-brainer on my wife's Rubicon. It has everything she will ever need for the trails we do in it, it looks great and everything is under warranty.

Do Willys have front and rear lockers?

The my24 Willy’s has m210 Dana 44 non locker front with a m220 Dana 44 rear with locker.

Look at the upgrades with the Willys XR pkg., it’s a very good value. Much better than for other models that get less upgrades for the same price. Price them individually and you could be surprised at just how good ( just gears and lift about cover the pkg. cost if added later) Soooo - you don’t plan on off-roading, ohh kaayy, when you get a capable Jeep that just might change with some enjoyable excursions. Check out some of the vast number of threads with people upgrading, at substantial cost. Those upgrades don’t raise resale value to the level as a model that comes with them standard. 2c ?

If you look at the cost to Jeep no it's insanely overpriced.

BUT it is a factory matched package. You have working speedo, technology, to work with the 35s without having to do a Tazer or something. That is why I got it.

Just got mine in August. Worth every penny IMHO...

The package looks perfect. Drives decent. I would say the gearing is perfect. The brakes are noticeably better than regular. Nice to have an upgraded tire carrier. Axle strength you won't care about. I love mine with this package and was the reason I bought it.

My wife was against the XR package at first, thinking it was too much, too high, and won't be nice to drive. We got it and she's gone 180* - loves the height and handling. We do moderate/low level off-road (unmaintained roads) and she really likes it. YMMV, but she likes it a lot.
