No. You will get differing opinion on the springs. Some say they are good, some not so much, but the consensus is the shocks suck. Jeep also extended the front bump stops on the "XR" Wranglers which limit up travel.

Here is a thread I started. Not exactly what you're looking for, but has some good info to help understand the XR stuff. BUILD PLAN, MAX UPTRAVEL HELP

I found the stock XR shocks were poor and faded fast when using off road. I installed some Bilstein 8100s that do ride firmer and don't fade and I am happy with them. I did not get the adjustable 8100 which some people have said will not hold the setting they are put on without resetting all the time. Bilstien 5160s would offer a upgrade and a softer ride compared to the 8100s at half the price.

I second the Bilstein route if you're staying stock bumps. I'd still do the adjustable if it were me. Another guy just posted something similar and I posted the the length info there. You 2 should both follow each others threads.

Eibach 2” springs will give you about 1/2” lift. Get their matching Pro Truck shocks.

Then get the Mopar front track bars/lower control arms from their lift kit. They are sold separately. They are 1/4” longer and will allow for better caster adjustment. You should not need anything else.

They don't have specs listed for their shocks. I sent a request for them and wouldn't buy them without.

I have a 2022 JLUR XR and having been trying different things. Always keep low height in mind since I drive it daily to downtown underground garage.

First, I replaced the stock shocks with Bilstein 5100. It's definitely a good improvement both on and off road and very affordable.

Later, I added steel bumper and winch etc so the head went down, and I added coil spring spacer in front to recover stock height.

More recent, I'm bored and want to burn more money. I replaced with MC 2.5 inch lift for 2 DOOR, which supposed to lift a 4 door at around ~1.5 inch. The front was up a little bit after fresh install. But the rear actually is lower than stock. So then I replaced with a 4 door rear coil spring for 2.5 lift. It was taller than stock. But overall height is still under 6'5.

I also went with Fox hydra bumps which provides a lot more flexibility. For my setup, I found the shocks, bump stops and sway bar links are not easy to work perfectly together. And the whole process is seriously emptying my pocket.

Thanks everyone so far. Looks like my short list will be shocks, bump stops and sway bar links. For shocks im looking for the 0-2" lift range im assuming?

Ive had fox 2.0s, Bilstein 5100s, falcon 2.1s and most recently Bilstein 5160s. Depends on what you are looking to improve about the ride, but I will tell you in my option nothing rides and smooth and squishy as stock springs and stocks. Every combination ive tried has firmed up the ride which in my opinion was a needed improvement. To me they always feel like they have a ton of body roll and front to rear weight transfer every time you accelerate.

ive also tired mopar lift springs, metalcloak, rock krawler, and tera flex springs and same answer. All gave a more precise planted feel, but definitely not as smooth as stock in my opinion.

Biggest complaints im hoping to improve is i live in a small town where the roads are full of patches and on gravel roads with loads of chatter this thing just hits hard and skips and tosses you everywhere where compaired to my gladiator mojave it just stays smooth and planted so id like to get closer to that

If you don't mind my asking, could you rate the shocks. OP and I seem to be looking for the same basic thing. Better on road drivability and plantedness. Want to keep the off road ability, don't really want to lift (1/2 to 1 inch) might be ok. I've "heard" Bilstein's are real firm on the road, FOX suspension was GREAT on my Bronco's (but they have IFS). I'd love to get you review of the Fox, Falcon's & Bilstein's.

So ive only had the 5160s on for a couple days, plus a considerable amount of time has passed since I drove with the other options so it's hard to place them. Overall, I'd say the 5160s are the firmest. I like that quality so far, it drives like a go cart on 37s. Although I'm a little worried that 6 months down the road of daily driving it's going to be annoying. I put them in the same driving experience as a newer sports car, stiff/firm but not terrible. I'd put the 5100 in the same range (they may be exactly the same valving I'm not sure) they feel similar from what I can remember.

To me the fox shocks are probably closest to stock ride, id rate them overall softest for sure. definitely a little better than the factory red Rubicon shocks but still a little soft and floaty for my taste. They are ok but wouldn't choose them again and I think there are better options for the money. But if the price was right, they are definitely not a bad choice.

Falcon 2.1s I have the most experience with, somewhere around 45k miles ran on the "firm" setting the entire time. They are awesome, firmness id put them between the fox and Bilsteins. They did a great job controlling that roll and weight transfer and really making the jeep feel predictable but still not harsh. I did a lot of daily driving, a couple cross country trips, sand dunes, high speed trails, rocks, even a couple unintentional airborne situations and I never had a complaint. They only reason I didn't buy them again for my most recent build was I just wanted to try something different. I thought hard about trying the 3.1s or 3.3s but the price is really what stopped me. If I could go back in time a month right now, I'd spend the extra and try out the 3.1s or 3.3s instead of buying the 5160s.

I really haven't been unhappy with any of them. Id rate the quality on all of them excellent and have had no problems with any of them. Also, its worth a note that these experiences have been over 4 different jeeps, several years, all had different springs, bumpers, winches, gear, one was even a 2 door. So, there are a lot of factors coming into play. It for sure wasn't a controlled test in any way, just rough opinions.
