Would you be able to tell me where that's located?
Behind the glove box. Just press on the top tab and the glove box swings down. I’m having the same issues but idk if it’s the can us or something else. Haven’t found any noticeable shorts yet

I'll take a shot at that. Thanks.

Mine has not worked in 2 years.
I've taken it to Jeep a few times and they tell me... we can replace your battery, but the Jeep ACC system is worst implementation on the planet, so unless you are commuting to work each day, it's just going to stop working again in a month of two. I don't have any warning lights that it's deactivated or anything. It just doesnt do anything. I am ok with it this way.
I'm just happy none of the suspension bolts fell off like on my JK, so I take the ACC issue as normal for Jeep QC and design.
Just to clarify. It sounds to me like like you are talking about either Adaptive Cruise Control or the Engine Start/Stop system- but I think the ACC being referenced earlier was the "accessory" ignition mode between "stop" and "run". Too many fuckin' acronyms.

If your issue is the ESS, you're not alone. The Genesis dual battery kit is the first thing on my wishlist for when the warranty runs out.

I am talking about engine start stop. Maybe I was dreaming of ACC. We could not get that (ACC) until the 2nd or 3rd model year of the JL.

Thanks for clarifying. I was mostly thrown off because I've been extremely happy with adaptive cruise - I think Jeep's system is the one of the best on the market, and in fact that was a big part of what prompted me to trade my '19 for a 21. If that was what you'd had the bad experience with, I would have been very curious to know why.

With regard to the ESS, I'm in the oddball minority that actually likes the system - so when the battery went out at 6500 miles I was pretty annoyed, and more so that it took them three visits to figure out it was a bad cell in the aux battery (they were load testing the whole system instead of individually). In my case, it didn't cause any other issues or throw any warnings, it just quietly stopped working with a non-specific "not ready" message every time I checked.

Driving habits probably didn't help - I was making mostly really short trips for the couple months leading up to the failure - but a battery that's that much of a pain to replace, that goes bad that quickly... really?

I don't mind the system either.
My annoyance is that is the feature is on the car, it should work properly, regardless if whether or not I want to use it. A Wrangler starts at 80k Euro in Germany. Literally the cheapest one you can buy is 80k.
For 80k, every. damn. feature better work.

Shouldn’t Environmental and Safety systems be a base expectation they work? I would have guessed so, why pay for them?
