Wrangler Glove Box Damper

Hi,
The glove box falls out. I've searched and searched. Found the damper lying behind the glove box. Not installed. I've searched and searched. Would appreciate help, or links to something that will help.

Sounds like the damper arm is not attached, fell back and needs to be reattached....

Read here/watch the video and then look at the pic below. The end of the glove box damper that is not attached you find fastens as shown in the video and picture below.

If the Glove Box Door Dampener - Mopar (68437969AA) is broken and your JL is out of warranty, here is the part #, etc. so you know what to buy to fix yourself.

IF under warranty, stop by your dealer Service Dept. and they will order a new damper and replace same under warranty.

See the pic of the Wrangler JL Glove Box Door Dampener - Mopar (68437969AA) below. See the red pointer arrow. That red arrow is pointing to a male key that twists into a female you will find on the left side of the glove box housing.

See larger second pic below and you will see the installed Glove Box Door Dampener - Mopar (68437969AA)

The third picture below, has a red arrow pointing to the area where you will find the female slot that the male twists locks/secures into position..

Female slot is where the pointer is pointing to..
