I’m running 37’s and have never checked. If you can afford a JL with big tires, lift etc I can’t imagine not being able to afford fuel.

It isn't about being able to afford it. It is just checking the efficiency of your engine and using it as a metric for normal operation.

How are you guys getting over 20 mpg? Do you just always coast downhill in neutral everywhere you go? It must be possible since my dad walked to school uphill both ways in the snow!;) I drive back roads and highway 50/50 and I am in the 15's to 16 mpg.

Guess cause my JLU Sport is still stock? My trip computer usually reads 23-24MPG, but real-world numbers are more like 21-22 MPG. According to Fuelly my lifetime MPG is about 22MPG with best tank of 23.5MPG. Got it at the end of September and have almost 3,000 miles on it now. Haven't been on any road trips with it, mostly just driving back and forth to work.

Mine's the 2.0T for what it's worth.

2018 Rubicon JLU, Running Patagonia’s 37x12.5, automatic, 4.88 gearing and removed the front axle disconnect. Used the Tazer to update the software to the new settings. Have a roof rack with a few things on it which doesn’t help. Getting 15-16mpg on average.

Sticking with 32s, driving around the speed limit (60-65), using engine braking to slow down and take advantage of deceleration fuel cutoff, ESS.... I'm not sure if the trektop does anything beneficial...
Recently more city driving and winter gas has drug my average to about 19.5.
