1) From what I can gather reading previous posts here, Gorilla glass for the JL isn't available yet. Is this true?

2) Does anyone have information on when it might make it to market, if it hasn't and..

3) How much it will be in price--or how much over the base OEM glass?

4) I understand that Gorilla glass is available for the JK. If true, can anyone who has had OEM glass and Gorilla glass on their JK speak to improvements they noticed?

5) Is the JL windshield glass thinner than the JK's...possibly because vehicle weight=mpg?

6) Has anyone installed protective window films that has thoughts on them? Are any of their warranties written to guarantee the integrity of not just the product, but the windshield glass it protects?

1 Yes
2 no only jeep and corning know
3 no price as it isn't out
4 Don't have a JK
5 No it isn't its a Jeep thing JK windows break as well

Despite the presence of these threads I didn't know if their information correct/current and little has been said, that I found, on the difference such protective films, and by which manufacturers, are worth their $.

Besides this, I am wondering if there is some specific windshield insurance (not as much as the comprehensive by insurance companies but more like windshield specific) that is available?

when I bought my jeep a friend of mine told me to get windshield insurance through the dealer which initially they gave me a pretty high price but I got them down to $500ish with no deductible and up too 5,000 dollars in replacement or fixed windshields
