Windshield fogging up

I have been taking my Jeep out for beach rides in the evening fully open - top down and half doors. The windshield consistently fogs up, which is not surprising given the high humidity and time of day when the temperature is dropping. Any suggestions to keep the fogging down (eg is there any hydrophobic spray coatings, etc)?

I have this problem in Florida too. I have yet to find a solution. The defroster kind of works but the cab is so open with no top or upper doors on, it doesn't quite cut it. Fog comes on so fast and you cant see a thing especially going through areas that have rapid temp changes

I don't have this problem living in the northeast, but I know Rain X makes a product call Fog X. I've heard it works fairly well.

Could you lower the windshield so you wouldn’t have to worry about the fog? Never lowered mine, not sure how involved it is but just a thought

Its very easy to lower but I have KC lights mounted to the lower A-pillar stopping me from being able to. Would be a great solution though!

Defroster may not be the answer, but it will help.

Not sure if your hvac is the same as my 4xe, but the defroster doesn’t default to heat. I had water inside my jeep and my windshield was the most fogged up I’ve ever seen a windshield. Defroster did absolutely nothing until I manually turned up the temperature.

Thank you all for your replies and advice. The temperature setting point is spot on. I have tried max heat and max fan and this helps a lot. I thought about flipping down the windshield and will keep that as a back-up option. Will also check out the Rain X.

They make vent plugs to help with guiding the air flow better.
