My wife and I are taking a weekend trip down to TN for Memorial Day. Planning on wheeling Saturday, May 27th. I've run Windrock twice before but it's been awhile and the first time with the JL! Anyone else going to be there? Any trail recommendations for a basically stock Sahara? I have my map and I've been looking at the trails but it's from 2013 so I'm guessing it's pretty old news by now!

Are you going to run the Jeep badge trails that day?

Not sure yet, I think those are blues. Thought I'd start on a green and see how conditions are before going on harder stuff.

I was just at Windrock this past weekend for Tennessee Mountains Jeep Jamboree, and had a blast. It was my first time there. As for the trails there are several that I'm sure you can do in a stock Sahara. As for the badge trails, you should be able to do Panther Rock trail #51, trail #26 might start to get a little rough (there could be an easier route to it than the way we took), and avoid trail #16 at all cost, it is in rough shape and people were incurring major body damage on in it fully capable Jeeps - only the highest level group at the JJUSA was running it (I am in a JLUR w/ 2.5" lift and 37's and I skipped it LOL). That park is so huge there is plenty of other trails to do in a 3-day weekend and still not see it all, we did 3 days of wheeling and there was so much more.

And there's a great photo opp on top of the mountain which you can easily get to, because its a paved road most of the way up then switches to gravel. ?

How did you STT Pros do? I think that's what those are? I'm looking at them - up from 35 KO2s.

They are, and its a brand new tires and wheels setup (got them on about mid March) and this was my second wheeling experience with them. And so far I've been completely happy with them (I was coming from the OEM Wildpeak M/T before) seem to be a great tire!

I would start with the greens and go from there. Start with G2 to the windmills, and from there you could go to some nice overlooks (I took my bike up there last weekend). You can then backtrack and go down G1 which has some nice obstacles. G5 and G6 are easy trails as well.
I will probably be up there on Memorial day since its so close to me, but not sure if I'll be on the bike or the Jeep...maybe Both.

Going back to Windrock, looking for things to do in the area, cool roads, etc. Have already been to Brushy and Nemo. Thoughts/suggestions?
