I bought one of the knock-off 3WLiners modules earlier in the year from AliEx. Aside from the module being huge and having to find a place to put it, it works fine. I don't have any large dogs or small children to worry about getting trapped, which would be impossible highly improbable given where the switch locations are compared to where the windows are on the Wranglers.

I'm guessing it's due to lawyers and removable doors. That excuse probably doesn't hold water though since the Bronco seems to have both.

Cost savings. That's all it is. 20 year old VWs have this feature.

It's at least 40 years old. The cost would be minimal since one-touch down is already implemented. You'd need a sensor and the blessing of timid lawyers.

When the JL came out nobody had it on production removable doors. From what I can tell Bronco has one-touch up, so that's changed. Maybe Jeep will catch up? Maybe if/when they do they'll add one-touch up/down to the rears too?

The dash mounted USB ports in our 2003 High Tide charge full time regardless of the ignition state. It's one of the first things I checked when we got it. I'm guessing there is a low voltage cut out. I haven't checked the port in the console because I never use it.

USB ports on my Rubicon cut out with ignition off and door open. Console stays on for 10 minutes.... Uconnect controls the usb port. No setting to keep alive.

My custom dash USB C connections are Uconnect dead, only fast charge as a primary, OTG between two devices is secondary. Using a cheap IPhone / Android wireless Airplay/Android Auto controller.

Just having a top of the dash USB C connection makes using mounts so much cleaner and less interference with cables in the way. I am surprised no kits are available to make top of the dash universal mounts with such option.

Having constant USB C power with battery backup allows for trail cam surveillance around vehical or home security cams with active alert to be used. A nice feature if making a day or more treks on foot trails.

Just curious after checking for a post on this. Has anyone ever attempted or found a way to wire the door windows to go up with one touch like they go down? Thinking it would be a nice feature that maybe Jeep should have included as long as they were going with one touch down. Thanks for any input to this.

I went with the Tory unit on my two-door. It's a bit pricey but Plug and Play makes it super easy. It may be available from here.

Support is a minimal and their homepage / website appears to be no longer working. That said, it works great I'm happy to have it.

Yep, but it is tied by uconnect and door closure. Lock the door and close it may speed up the time to turn off. I know because I have a usb to wireless carplay android auto box that will stay active for 10 minutes and shut down (power off). The box will stay on indefinitely if on a usb charger but not in the jeep.

As for my Reveal Pro rechargeable li battery packs to be a backup power source to bypass wiring usb... i can connect two in series and have 14.8V at my disposal. Or just run a single which is 7.4v and a step down buck inverter set at 5v... maybe do both and tap off the two voltages for what ever.

Well I ment to add door open and close. I shortened it because Uconnect will shut down once you open door. Not thinking of the 10 minute delay for usb to follow.

It'll do that for an hour before it shuts off the ports. At least that's how it works in earlier year JLs.
