New Rubicon 392 with barely 400 miles on it. I’m almost positive this was not like this the last I had driven the Jeep (it’s not a daily driver). Anyway, I jumped in it last night to go out and I immediately noticed this pulling out of the garage. At first I had though rock damage, but upon further inspection it looks like a manufacturing defect to me (delaminating). Has anyone else had this?
I’m sure the bumper to bumper warranty will cover it, but the question is do I want to deal with the risk of the dealer damaging something else. I’m sure the door panel and gaskets around the window would need to be removed. I could probably replace it myself if they would allow me simply swapping parts with them.

Is it tinted? That's the only time I've seen it before, and it can be fixed.

I don't believe so. I think it is actually between two panes of glass.

If I recall, Jeep had added acoustic front glass for the 24 model year? I think its simply a manufacturing defect (of the glass).

Yeah it is two layers one of the corning glass and regular glass also .
So it is very likely that my observation was correct... there is some sort of defect between the two panes of glass.

Again, now the big question is do I risk getting it "fixed" or just deal with it.

Yep, hence the "window" ... not windshield. ? Its the driver side window.
Right I missed that part. Are they using gorilla on side glass?

Anyway yeah I run around half the year with crack on windshield, I would leave it. :)

Tough one, honestly even if you do it there's a risk of fucking up a panel clip. If it wasn't for that, I'd say pull the panel and drop it off.

Is that the drivers window? Is it tinted the same shade or close to the back window? If so, it’s been tinted and most likely the cause of the bubbles. Easy fix.

The windshield is the only glass that is laminated. Door glass is tempered safety glass that shatters into a million pieces. That must be a film for tinting the door glass. I’d let the dealer fix it.
